  1. That was odd, needed to reinstall https://www.virtualizationhowto.com/2018/05/windows-10-rdp-credssp-encryption-oracle-remediation-error-fix/ for some reason. Now working fine... again.
  2. Argh! 1 month later and it has happened again, but only when communicating with one of the HyperV servers (the primary one typically)… RDP to the VMs themselves is fine still, just the host and connecting to the VMs through the HyperV management console.
  3. Happy Birthday!
  4. As someone that used to work for Capita... no, you certainly 100% do not need Admin rights.
  5. Offline Files and OneDrive are completely different technologies so one would not effect the other. As I understand it... Offline Files caches a UNC path and pretends it's going there. OneDrive (the latest version) has file pointers to download the file if it's not already downloaded.
  6. Technically I don't believe driving on the pavement is actually legal... parking is a grey area... but then, how did you get up there... but IANAL. Still, at least there was enough access for a wheelchair user.
  7. Just so you are aware, starting in 1803 also has the Documents folder icon on the left hand side of the Start Menu, which users can click to load.
  8. Some websites work better in different browsers. Though I must admit, Chrome seems to be the way forward for most sites at the moment.
  9. Same here, very annoying, but it only affects my PC at the Secondary at present as I am the only one that has 1803 installed. Was wondering if I should concede and use that for now until they fixed the bugs... I am not a huge fan of Chrome though, so it might be Firefox.
  10. First idea is Impero… if you use it I find it's a nightmare with Edge in the latest version of Windows 10. Should kick in after a few minutes until you close the window again.
  11. I agree with @Katy, depends on what coverage they have. 24-7 help covered? X Hours onsite included? Though, £80 a month? Could be much worse.
  12. Used to have that fun with Dell, especially with their motherboard replacements. At least they had SMBIOS tools on their website so you could manually update them.
  13. Aldi every once in a while do MEDION computers... technically German, but phone support comes from Swindon.
  14. Just in case anyone doesn't know, it appears they are adding this into the Summer release.
  15. Can only speak for the one I've been attending this last year, and they have someone who has at least dabbled with the system before hand to set it all up. Doubt they have a spare bulb though and haven't seen any ladder yet, as the projector is pretty far up.
  16. SSL Inspection is disabled for the vast majority of Office 365 sites on Exa Quantum filtering.
  17. Options 1, 2 and 3 are problematic for the following reasons. 1. Installing a new package, then uninstalling an old package can cause conflicts. 2. The Update part of a GPO software deployment is for MSP files, and even then it has to be added at the time you add the MSI. 3. Just replacing an MSI file folder won't make the GPO replace it. If you have set your MSI to uninstall if it falls out of scope, you should remove the GPO from applying to the machines or a test machine. Then apply another GPO with the new software to those machines. If you don't have your MSI to uninstall if it falls out of scope, you should remove the MSI package from the GPO, select to uninstall now, and then add the other MSI in it's place.
  18. Something like this then? https://alternativeto.net/software/desktopinfo/ Or you could just set a scheduled task to update the BGInfo information.
  19. Well the instructions on how to install Office 365 on machines I've found don't talk about capturing an image with it, but I guess you could follow it... https://sysadminedu.wordpress.com/2017/01/07/step-by-step-guide-to-deploying-office-365-pro-plus-with-device-based-activation-with-sccm/ … and could install it onto a single machine that you want to make an image of, and then deactivate it before capturing it... https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/odsupport/2015/05/01/how-to-reset-an-office-365-install-to-the-initial-activationinstall-state/ … then just run the command as part of the build process to activate Office on that machine from the installer location. OPPTransition.exe -Tenant TENANTIDHERE -Key KEYIDHERE -Domain SCHOOLONMICROSOFTNAMEHERE.onmicrosoft.com -Version 16 -NoInstall -NoUninstall
  20. Anyone else getting the same selection screens that appear in Windows PE for the build, re-prompt for answers inside Windows?
  21. I guess not. Though it would be interesting to hear more about this and what you have found out.
  22. Yes, the former doesn't allow you to run it from the Windows Explorer process. The later won't let you run it from all other processes, for example cmd.
  23. Maplin in Swindon closed it's doors to the public for the last time yesterday morning... someone went in in the morning the last day and bought everything remaining. According to staff, the rest of the Maplin stores that are still open will be closed for good sometime during the weekend.
  24. If anyone dislikes that Edge can't SSO onto Office 365 after setting it up (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/connect/active-directory-aadconnect-sso), there is an Azure feedback page here you can vote for: https://feedback.azure.com/forums/169401-azure-active-directory/suggestions/33781945-the-seamless-sso-feature-does-not-work-with-window Extra text for search parameters: Outlook OWA Azure AD
  25. The quality of their work is only surpassed by Fox News.
