You really want to try RougeSpears new AutoImage program. AutoImage I had my first sucessful run with it last night at home and as long as you follow the instructions its easy to use read his forum though because i had a couple of problems at first. good luck

GrumbleDook, what you say is very valid and that is one angle I will take on this issue, but I would like to prevent this from happening again, or at least know a way of monitoring the network for this type of issue.

I have just been made aware that a teacher is logging on students with her own username. Obviously this can't happen, I tried using limit logon yesterday and as yet I haven't really got it working. Is there any other way of restricting logons to only one per user name? or something to notify me when it happens?

I am tying to intergrate the new BTS Driver Packs to my RIS image, but when I run DPs_BASE.exe I get this message "could not detect windows version: no ident files were found" Now i know this is refering to the files WIN51IP and WIN51IP.SP2 but where are they ment to be in the RIS image setup?

No that just times out well this is going to be a pain in the a**e there is some really good info there on RIS guess I will have to wait till i go home

I don't know if someone else could check this out for me, I posted in the RIS sticky post about a problem I was having and at work. I am unable to access www.msfn.org so I thought the site was down I got home last night and accessed it fine now i get into work today and I am unable to access it. Its not blocked I just get a 404 error, I am wondering if anyone else can access it?

Well now I'm home I managed to access the site first time, but for all of you who use RIS you should take a look at this AutoImage looks like RougeSpear could be on to a winner, I for one will be trying this

I've had RIS working really well for some time now although one suite I was still ghosting because I could not get the nic's to work. Well I finally got the nics to work on boot today, but its not finding a these drivers Nvidia GeForce Mx4000 Intel Pro 100VE (on the windows part of the install, it is ok on boot) Realtek AC97Audio I wondered off to msfn to find the answer but it seems to be down at the moment. I know I have to add the drivers I think to the i386 directory but can't remember for sure. Can anyone help?

There are no invites available that i can see for domain email, but I do have a large number of invites available for google mail if anyone is after a google mail account.

I registered an interest about two weeks ago and I got a reply last night I have decided not to go with it, but I will see if there are any invites with it and if so I will post back

Indie do yo have to have one box per monitor ? or can you feed the signal down cat5 to to lots of monitors. Funny enough I have just been asked the same thing. ICT nut you must have posted as I asked indie

Looks like that was the answer (i hope :? ) I cleared the cache and the first user I tried can see the server after rebooting the client. Thanks all for your help, and I hope i'm not premature when i say that

Hi indie I have tried that too. I just don't understand where its picking up the referance to the old server, there must be something I have missed like you said indie I bet its something really simply and staring me in the face, but I just can't see it.
