    Sick Server

I have come back to work to find one of my domain controllers acting very strange. I am unable to access group policies, I get a message that I don't have permission yet I am able to acces them on the other domain controller also I am unable to make any changes in active directory although I can see everything. Also they dont seem to be replicating. I was thinkin of demoting it and them repromoting it again, I thought I had seen a post talking about this a while back but I am unable to find it. So before I go ahead with this what are your lines of thought this server has exchange 2003 only on it.
  3. I go with Zoneminder too they have a livecd which makes testing really easy
  4. @theWoosh I only just got back from Oz, but the tickets never got used what a waste. Not only that a mate told me it was the best Manics gig for the last 5/6 years

  6. Well the time has finally come, I fly to Australia tomorrow to try and secure a job, I have a couple a good leads one with the Australian Tax office which looks really promising but I plan to slag myself around all the agencies I can. I understand that school ICT is well behind us here in the UK so I'm hoping that may play a factor. I'm going to Brisbane so if anyone has any contacts you would care to share with me please do. If all goes well me and my family will be living there before the year is out
  7. I think this has been talked about before but because we have Devonport Naval base outside our gates I use naval ships ie Victory, Invincible you get the idea
  8. Hi all I have 3 tickets for the Manic Street Preachers Truro Gig, I bought the tickets quite a while ago when they went on sale, but I am travelling to Australia on Saturday (hopefully to find a house and schools for my children) so I will be away for the gig. My wife and eldest daughter don't want to go on their own so there are three tickets in the seated area. I am guted as I have seen them on every tour they have played. Anyway if I can make face value just to recover some of the cost. The face value is £25 or you can have them for free and get me 3 tour t shirts Gig date is Sunday 3rd june at Hall for Cornwall Truro
  9. sorry tring to eat dinner answer the phone and write this I will edit
  10. I would like to ask a few opinions please. My school decided to buy a VLE from a local company because one of the Senior Managers had been impressed with it. I went along to see it and thought that it was ok but not outstanding and gave the Head my thoughts on it. As the price was 20K and it wasn't a finished produted I recommended we take a look at moodle and see how the school got on with that for starters, as we all know moodle is free and a server will cost what about 1K. But no the Head goes ahead and buys this VLE anyway. It doesn't interface with Sims so the guy who wrote it asks me for a copy of the sims database for the school so that he can interigate sims. I was uneasy with this so I contacted scomis (local sims support) who agreed with me and told me that he would need written agreement from Capita. Well it looks like he is still going to try and get the school to give him the database without permission from Capita. What would you do?
  11. I've created a MSI and it works fine I will email you it if you want PM me. Or just use Wininstall LE 2003 its free and quite easy to use

I am still having problems getting the configure script to run I have now placed the files in /usr/src/ all the commands work until I enter the configure script and then I get the message no such file or directory /usr/src# ./configure prefix=/usr/local/nagios --with- cgiurl=/nagios/cgi-bin --with-htmurl=/nagios/ --with-nagios-user=nagios --with-nagios-group=nagios -–with-command-group=nagioscmd/nagios in the directory src i have all the ter.gz files as you said plus a folder nagios-2.9 which was created from the earlier comands. 16. I have spent the entire afternoon trying to put the files in /usr/src I downloaded WinSCP as I have use it at home, but I kept getting unable to connect, this was from my laptop which is Vista so I thought maybe Vista was the problem so I installed WinSCP on a XP machine and still got the same problem. I have just got home and I have a ClarkConnect machine here (redhat i believe) tried WInSCP and it worked no problem. So is there an issue with Debian? do i have to do anything different or do you have any other suggestions?
  17. I have been reading the feature on nagios and I have debian etch install and working great. however i have a problem installing nagios everytime I try to run the configure script I get the message no such file or directory. my user is nagios as in the docs I have downloaded and extracted in /usr/local/nagios I don't see a cgi-bin in the nagios dir so i changed the command to cgiurl=nagios/cgi but still get the error. Could someone push me on a little further ....please
  18. I have read your document with great interest and plan to go ahead with this over the next couple of weeks. One thing however you have written this guide refering to Debian Etch so I went to download the image and was assounded by the amount of choice although I did notice debian-40r0-i386-netinst.iso is this the iso that you use? if not could you point me and maybe others to the download link for the project. I am using an intel based PC for this. Thanks
