  1. Isn't allowed to... But his username makes it obvious! [emoji23][emoji23] But yeah... Get senso. I suspect impero will shut down soon anyway.. or atleast the UK market will.
  2. I doubt you will. Im not getting replies from anyone above support engineer... I'm seriously getting fed up...
  3. It redirects to one drive. Same as folder redirection, but just links to OneDrive
  4. Where can I find 2004 release date?
  5. I reworked our entire setup to work this exact problem. I have got rid of all on site storage, and migrated to onedrive and SharePoint. So now all my devices sign in automatically for storage. I then have cached logins setup, so k can keep the devices domained. Lastly SENSO.Cloud is installed on the devices, doing all the safeguarding and allowing us to remotely manage if needed. Senso.Cloud is a better replacement for impero. In my opinion.
  6. Ah yes! This too!
  7. Hi Kevin I've been doing this for the last few weeks and now got it to work flawlessly. Below are a few highlights I noticed that screw up the auto login: 1. Make sure the time on your clients and server are within 5 minutes of a well know ntp source. 2. Make sure the group policies are applied to all devices. (I had a few occasions where I applied it to user by mistake) 3. Make sure single sign on is enabled in azure sync. Best way to check this is to see if edge auto signs you in / office 365. If edge / chrome doesn't auto sign you in to office 365, then you haven't got auto sign in working. 4. I'm not sure if this helped with it syncing, but it definitely helped with login times. Pre install the OneDrive client with /all users on end. 5. Make sure that nothing is being filtered (we had that at one of our primary schools. 6. There is a group policy under users config - desktop that says prevent moving desktop known folder (make sure this is set to not configured) 7. I couldn't get it to work with redirected folders, so in the end deleted the folder redirection policy and then reimaged the site. (As it will remember the folder redirection by default) even when you remove the policy. Hopefully some of these hurdles we came across, help you. Matt
  8. 8k!!! [emoji2961][emoji2961][emoji2961][emoji2961]
  9. Very few negatives I can come up with for senso. However I the few I do have are : I think the connections can be somewhat flakey at times. I'm not convinced it is senso's fault... But with all the filtering and firewalls etc, it can sometimes be somewhat unstable. The chat box... I've flat out banned my support team from using this part! It doesn't close when you close your side, so the users often continue typing with a "while you're here... " And it looks like we're just ignoring them. Then I get a crappy email from someone that we have been ignoring them... Argh I could rant so much about that chat box!! No Mac or iPad clients. - this is probably the biggest complaint (or.maybe just lower than the chat box). It effectively means I tell my SLT that when a kid logs into a Mac or iPad, we can't prevent safeguard properly. Which is bad! In fact when I initially informed SLT I made the move to senso, but this was the draw back, they asked me to review in 3 months and look into moving back to impero if they had no Mac client. Here we are 1 year later. With still no Mac client. Luckily I managed to use the cost card to stay with senso still. Lastly cost - it had a bit of a jump this year (development) being sited. But I have to confess that it is still worth it.. All these being said - senso are excellent are talking to you. I have had a few late night team chats with a few of the staff and they really are an excellent bunch who really do want to make a fantastic product. Hope this helps!
  10. Used FROG some years a go... It was a bit clunky. I imagine/hope it has improved since then. I have heard good things about firefly, I seem to remember a lot of private schools using it. But I know it is VERY expensive. Not the answer you're probably looking for. But take a look at cloud design box. It uses SharePoint. (So cheaper than buying another VLE), but is effectively a VLE.
  11. Seems every hour Virgin media goes down here (East Midlands) Weird that Google services seem to stay up.
  12. We are a school of 600... I reckon about 65% of our students fall under disadvantaged. We have been offered 14 laptops.. I wouldn't hope on getting many!
  13. A teacher just emailed me this. I don't know how you apply...

  15. Me & my team were on a rota (me being the manager). I was in on day one, and had volunteered to cover the rest of the days, to spare my team the worry! But the head then came to see me and said that actually we should just work from home. So now we're all working from home! I'm a keyholder and have been told to just make myself available as needed, on-site. (With my own discretion)
  16. 1. yup.. even when i phone up now i get told someone will email/call me back or nothing. 2. That being said.. if i can manage to get Sean.. he's super good! The rest... rubbish and line one applies! It infuriating beyond belief!
  17. It's really nice to see a company make the effort to think about schools. I don't have a need for this personally, but I'm sure someone will. Thanks
  18. I can offer you Leicestershire ones?? It's a nearby county, and I think our grades are the same, If that's any help, PM me..
  19. Maybe i'm misreading.. but this fine related to the fact that the school were having a bias towards those who could provide a fingerprint by making those not using fingerprints go to the back of the line..
  20. The risks you take using a combination of free and american hosted products?
  21. That is if you have the staffing resources available. We are a team of 3, now looking after 17 schools. It is nice knowing i don't need to drive around all the schools if there are filtering problems. I appreciate there are centralised options, however we are not in a trust setting. We provide it as an external support service. So wouldn't be able to do that. There are pro's and cons for on-site and hosted - it very much comes down to the specific setups and requirements.
  22. I have personally always preferred HP Switches, however i have started introducing Unify switches in the primary schools, as i like the remote management of them. I always go for 1GB switches though. I don't think 100mb should be allowed in this day and age! Here we have 1GB to clients with 10GB up-link.
  23. I have received a call from Someone at Schools Broadband who have said they are going to "as a gesture of good will" apply a days service credit to each school. However she did mention a caveat of checking with NOC about the service outage, as apparently they didn't see a full outage. Given my experience of the NOC team (Where tickets go to die), i'm not sure what year I will get a response. I did also mention that we also haven't had any RFO yet for the outage, which is apparently coming today.
