  2. Hi guys, Looking at getting a new help desk system setup and have come across Kayako. Just wondered if anybody has any good or bad info from using this. It looks good from what I've read but would be great to have opinions of folk who use it on a day to day basis. All comments appreciated Cheers Knightrider
  3. Would be very useful. Thanks.

  5. I use AD Helpdesk Lite and it does what I need it to.
  6. Afternoon Guys, We have got this and it works well however now I have been asked to create a report for SMT showing which staff are actually setting homework and which are not. Easy I thought. Nope. I can’t for the life of me find any definitions to use when designing a report. I’ve looked in staff, student focus and looked to see if there is a specific focus for homework but nothing. Has anyone succeeded in creating a report with data from the Homework Diary? Any help much appreciated. Knightrider.
  7. Thanks- got it working!
  8. Morning, I am trying to get a field on a excel file to increase each time the file is opened. Attached is the file and I have tried inserting the following code into it. Private Sub Workbook_Open() Range("F3").Value = 1 + Range("F3").Value End Sub This I thought would increase the value of the cell by 1 each time the file is opened. However this isn't working and i have no idea why. I am literally ripping my hair out over this. I'm sure it’s really simple to do. Any help much much appreciated. Knightrider Master1.xlsx

  10. Hi guys, I've been asked to write a 'clean Slate Report' for SIMS. Basically run a report to show which kids have got a present mark for every lesson and no behaviour points for a given week. I've been trying for a while but just cant seem to get it. Any help much apprecaited. Knightrider.

  13. Think you can export to Excel but that's it. I was at a SIMS Direct day yesterday and got told that over the next 12 months a couple of pages are getting 100% redesigned and included in this is the ability to import info into school calendar. So a bit of good news. Knightrider
  14. Afternoon, I've been asked to write a 'clean slate' report i.e a report which shows which pupils have got: 100% Am & PM Attendance for the last week 0% late’s for the last week 0 behaviour points for the last week Now I thought I'd cracked it but I've been given some names of pupils that should be on this but I can't for the life of me work out why they don't. I think the part I'm struggling with is getting this data for the previous week and not the entire year. Hope that all makes sense. Any help much appreciated Knightrider

  18. Just got the trial installed today. So far got it working on an iPod Touch 3rd Gen, an iPhone 4 and an iPad 2. All running latest iOS. Will be pushing out to an iPad 1, an iPhone 4s & some more iPod's again all running latest iOS on Monday. On first impressions it looks good. Training the PE staff how to use it on Monday. I'll keep you updated with how it goes. Knightrider
  19. Hi Pete My missus is a textiles teacher. Their school has 3 janome memory craft 350e. Their reasons for choosing these machines were the simplicity of interface on the sewing machine- easy to follow and therefore students to use. The customiser software is massively cheaper than any others at the time they looked and again straight forward to use. The students put their own designs onto a memory card which then plugs into the machine. They have also networked the software which some softwares don't allow. They can't do really intricate designs but they use it successfully at gcse and sixth form. Can't tell you anything about the Bernina- Knightrider

  25. Hi, I'm trying to just have the Home & Print buttons visible on the command bar in IE8 but I can only seem to find how to hide the entire bar via gpo. I know you could just show certain buttons in IE7 but I can.'t seem to find this setting for IE8. Does any body know if this is possible in IE8 either via a reg setting or in gpo? Any help much appreciated. Knightrider
