  7. Had a play on the 7 & 8 inch ones yesterday. Decent build quality for price but the big selling point for me is that you can join to a domain & you can manage them with SCCM & InTune! Ordered one today to go a full test.

  15. Morning folks, In the very near future we are getting some android tablets for students to use. We already have iPhones, iPads which the SMT use. These are currently un-managed but with the addition of the Android devices I am thinking we are going to need an MDM. Now I’ve done a bit of research and looked at the ones mentioned on here in previous posts. However none seem to offer me what I want and I am hoping that somebody may be able to help me find one that does. I’m after the following from an MDM: • Ability to manage all platforms, (iOS, OS X, Android, Windows, Blackberry) • App Management • Enforcing use of passcodes etc. • Ability to ‘push’ firmware upgrades to them • Remote wipe • Asset & Inventory Management Cheers Knightrider
  16. We are a college of building. So going to have lots of workshops, lecture rooms, library and IT Labs. All admin staff are moving over there. Why do i need 'Make sure they register with Openreach NEW sites '?
  17. Hi guys, Just been told that we are getting a new building built. Got a meeting with the lead person and not sure what sort of questions I should be asking as I have never had this situation before. After this I am then to give a proposal on what IT is needed and what I would like to SLT. New building is about 1.2 miles away as crow flies. Please let me know your thoughts. Any info is greatly appreciated. Knightrider
  18. Was just about to say the same thing. Nothing says 'new guy' more than eating lunch on your own in the staff room!!
  19. Thanks for this twin-turbo. Gerography is 1st site is 1 mile, 2nd is 2 miles and 3rd is 2.5 miles across the City Centre. Amount of users is about 250 per site. Only one internet gateway from main site. All users at all sites go through this to get on the internet.
  20. Morning all, Please could someone explain to me the difference between these and also, in your opinion which is best for an establishment with a main site and 3 satellite sites? Cheers Knightrider
  21. You can do this via running a report from SIMS and it opens up an email with the correct staff names in the 'To' field. I've used this but just started a new job and they dont use SIMS so cant pass it to you. @vikpaw is the man I got it from. Maybe PM him and see if he'll help you out. Knightrider
