  1. It's a quiet Friday afternoon here
  2. And now I have no idea whether I made it in time or not!
  3. The only acceptable christmas sandwich is as many left overs as you can fit between 2 slices of bread on boxing day.
  4. Perhaps it might be easier to verify the config instead of encrypting it? My method for this would be to check the MD5 of the config file against an MD5 stored in the registry, and write the MD5 to the registry whenever EWP is run as administrator (for small deployments) or it's trivial to push a reg file with the key (for large deployments). This would give the flexibility of enabling plaintext xml editing, and securing the config from changes/corruption.
  5. I'd suggest either a trackball mouse or joystick mouse, probably the trackball if he wants to be fast!
  6. Therapy animals.
  7. I'd create a firewall rule that blocks all traffic to that subnet except the default gateway's ip.
  8. Stop giving out my secrets!
  9. And how long did it take you to send this reply on said rural Australian internet? I've heard bad things about the infrastructure in cities, let alone rural areas!
  10. Problem with that one is that it's thinner MDF, and no groove cut for T-molding. I'd stick with this if you want the bigger screen: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BitCade-2-Player-Bartop-Arcade-Machine-Cabinet-Flatpack-DIY-Kit-MAME-JAMMA-Pi/123091081943?hash=item1ca8ccdad7:g:YmgAAOSwa6Zbu2F2 the stand is £80 though... I've just spotted a cheap cabinet kit quite local for £50 collected... Must... Resist...
  11. You need to think bigger! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BitCade-1-Player-12-5-Flat-Pack-Bar-Top-Arcade-Cabinet-Kit-Plain-MDF/392275479448?hash=item5b5570cb98:g:rTcAAOSwWnBcr0fA
  12. If you want a free placeholder, do it yourself. If you want a properly designed logo, pay a professional.
  13. Personally, I'd build my own bartop cabinet, install a pc running MAME, job done.
  14. A slim fit shirt. I have never had the build for a slim fit shirt!
  15. Under Computer Configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates > System, do you have "Always wait for the network at startup and logon" enabled? If not, try enabling it.
  16. Too sensible for my liking! I'm a fan of the Hayabusa Bond Bug...
  17. That's the one.
  18. PC is logging on before group policy can finish processing, set Computer Configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates > System > Group Policy > Policy > Startup policy processing Start at 30, try 60 and 90 if it still isn't long enough
  19. Pabulum provided their own IT equipment and their own internet connection at the school I worked at that used Pabulum
  20. Should be Get-Content: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/microsoft.powershell.management/get-content?view=powershell-6
  21. And now I want a pizza served on an iMac. It could make millions in Shoreditch!
  22. The fan issues are because Apple doesn't take the temperature info from the S.M.A.R.T data, they use their own sensor on the Apple specific drives. There's an app called SSDFanControl which takes the S.M.A.R.T reading and uses that instead, then no more 100% fans 100% of the time
  23. Should just be a case of going onto the doors section of net2 and pressing reinstate?
