Hi, They've just built a new office for two of us. Ignoring the mold that built up from having no windows open for 2 months it looks good. Im trying to decide what furniture to choose and layout i should have the room. I hate people sitting behind me if they are facing me and dont like desks that force you to face each other. Also dont like it if people can see my screen, not doing anything i should be but cant stand people watching. The will be myself and another full time member in the room and we will need a hotdesk. This is what i have so far. Need one more big desk and a hot desk. Electrics and networking are only on the left (Same side as stairs) Any brilliant ideas? HC6F1 is cupboards

Can see the partition but when you try and do anything on it you get access is denied.

Trying to install Windows 7 on a Clevo windows tablet but its complaining about it not having the SD host controller driver. Anyone have one of these Clevo tablets and has the driver? Tried double driver on windows 8.1 but its not compatible. Tried their website but when you extract the exe you just get other files.

Get access denied in 7, 8.1 struggling to. Seems weird that over the christmas holiday several USB that were working arnt anymore. When i plug them in, they work for a few seconds and i can see the files. I then get locked out. Tried usb 2 and 3. Just got another out of the pack and RUFUS has managed to write windows 7 to it but have 4 doing the access denied thing. Will get the linux laptop out again to have a look.

Have new USB drives that did work but now will no longer work in windows 7 or ubuntu but will in 8.1 Even brand new ones out of the packaging cant be formatted by 7 or ubuntu. Any ideas? Using a different machine for each OS.

Hi, All of our internet traffic has to go through the LEAs filter. Without proxy info being entered no internet traffic is allowed. Im trying to setup a guest network that auto detects the proxy settings but apple producs still require you to type in the PAC file address. Ive been reading about setting up a SQUID server that can pick up traffic automatically and requires no changes on the client. Is this right? What mode of SQUID would i need to run (transparent, intercept etc) and has anyone got a good guide to install and forward all traffic to the LEAs proxy? Thanks

OFSTED knows of this and will check/ask about your internet filter. Our LEA told us of a few schools that have ran into trouble because the LEA filter didnt block unsafe content.

Have a 8.1 tablet and have selected work offline. Disconnected from the wireless and did a bit of work. Enabled the wireless again and tried to run a sync and its saying the drive is still i offline more. Cannot see a work online button. How do i force it to work online again? Update: changed a few bits in the GPO disabling some policies that hadn't been configured but were still disabling us from having the offline buttons. Looks like Windows 8 works on different defaults to win 7 as it worked in 7.

Cheers. Going to be a tough one to get around. May have to put squid on linux (expect keyboards to exit the room through windows. Not keen on linux) I installed 2.4.6 in the end. The co fig website and portal is so much more responsive. Not tested clients connection speed yet but can't see any reason to go back to v3 at the mo.

Well found out the issue i was having with the portal not showing. Using a proxy bypasses the portal as its on the local network.

SMARTs website was terrible when i last checked. Was just after they changed it. Finding alot of companies are doing this at the minute. Driving me nuts.

We had a spreadsheet but the governors were adding more and more paperwork to it as they randomly decide that they want to log new stuff. Then the job of maintaining it was given to me so i changed to school asset manager and said that there will be no paperwork on this system. If it doesnt do it then it cant be done. Was turning into a full time job 15 minutes to add a item on the old system.

Might give 3.2.8 a go then. Bit of a pain with the HTTPS. Bet most people have their homepage as https://www.google.co.uk so when guests join and it just times out it doesnt look good. Anyone know if this is the case in 2.4.6?

Thanks Chris. If users try to access https before entering a voucher, can they get through? Was thinking of trying 2.4.6 if 3.2.7/3.2.8 gets any more issues.

So reading alot of issues with the latest 3.2.7 and 2.3.8 versions including guest portals not showing until the guest visits a http site and allowing https websites through without signing in. Thought i would go to 3.2.5 until these issues have been solved but now reading about that this version constantly drops connections. Now im reading about v3.1 and going back to that. After a reliable version that allows for a guest network that shows the portal as soon as a user joins no matter if they visit a HTTP or HTTPS page. Dont care about zero handoff. What would you recommend? Posted on the Unifi forum but doubt il get a answer.

Seems fine on Windows 8. Chrome has no issues. Did try removing ie11 and going online with ie8 i think and then had the same issues.

Thanks IrritableTech. Now logged in and documents are showing up on the list. Try to open a form in safari and get "You cannot browse this page at "docs.google.com" because it is restricted. Now need to work out who is restricting it. Creating documents work however and uploading pics. Getting there

Hi, Anyone else having issues with IE11? Its becoming unusable. Both my network and the LEAs network are having issues with it. iPlayer just gives a black box where videos should be, Edeugeek buttons now don't appear, radio streams wont start (Heart radio). Anyone else having issues with it?

Hi, Google drive doesn't like the LEAs new https web filter so using wpad.dat file i'm trying to send all google drive data through the old proxy to make the app work. If I redirect all *google* data then the app works but it also stops filtering on google searches as google is now https. Using this site https://support.google.com/drive/answer/1211661?hl=enive ive got the login screen on the app to show but it now will loin but wont show any files. Heres the sites im redirecting, (shExpMatch(url, "*docs*.google.com*") || shExpMatch(url, "*ssl.gstatic.com*") || shExpMatch(url, "*.googleusercontent.com*") || shExpMatch(url, "*gg.google.com*") || shExpMatch(url, "*.googleapis.com*")) Anyone have a internet filter that can show what sites the ipad app tries to access?

Tried that one a while back but couldn't get it to work at the time. Was doing a fair amount at the time though. Just got v8 and havnt got any issues with that one yet.

Use Impero here. Sound doesn't transfer however and you cant play videos smoothly. Not sure if this is a ipad/wireless/impero issue.

Will have a check in the morning. Would be good if the did. As long as they are smaller i can make it look right. Found some old cable tidies and made it look neat and tidy. Staff are coming in and jokingly saying that it would be able to go through the airport as it looks like something that needs to be diffused.

Heavy! Apart from the weight however first impressions are good. Only just received them however. I think the foam baskets could be replaced with plastic/metal ones so if they do have to be transported upstairs then they can be removed from the heavy case. Hence the reason for this thread. I can probably see what you mean about the pull handle, with the weight they could be made from a little thicker material. Could also do with some cable management.
