Have a old Versatility system which they are putting the maintenance price up on as its so old and adding phones into classrooms. Just had a demo of the Avaya system which wasn't to bad (the demonstrator reminded me of my old boss though). Liked the web management of the Panasonic system but think the Avaya would be quicker to manage multiple users. Need to check the Panasonic phones out. Cant stand the paper contact sheets. Doesn't make sense with hot desking.

We are just looking to put in a IP phone system and have two contracts that are pretty much identical apart from the systems that they are quoting for. One is offering a Avaya system and the other is using a Panasonic system. Has anyone had any experiences with these? The only thing we can think of at the minute is playing eenie meenie miney mo Cheers,

GTA5 on ps3 The ship on pc Find it really hard to find games interesting these day. Games were so much better on PS2 and more enjoyable as there was more game and less " look at me, im a hi def tree " going on.

Think weve all given italc a go and experienced the random non recoverable crash that at some point will happen. When getting quotes in for other products we found that although AB tutor looked cheap, when you add up all the teacher licences its actually not as cheap as you thought. If you only have a few classrooms then i would say it would probably work out cheap but 19+ classrooms, not so much.

Do you have impero or similar that you can run commands with. Thinking about opening chrome with --disable-extensions or --safe-plugins Also, task manager is probably removed with a GPO The bit you need to disable to show it again is "User Configuration" -> "Administrative Templates" -> "System" -> "Ctrl+Alt+Del Options" Then disable remove task manager. Then gpupdate the machine. If whoever created the gpo's has done it tidely then this should work and will only require changing in the one policy. To kill it i think the command is something like I would just add that to the logon script. Would be weird if it is opening on logon. Somethings trying to get out.

Not going to be a great deal of help but there was a program i used about 6 months ago which monitors the startup and actually lists each process and the time it took. Cant for the life of me remember the name. Will try and find it but there is something out there.

Just found this from Brother http://ictforeducation.co.uk/news/10-of-teaching-time-lost-to-inadequate-technology.html Its OK for heads to say this but i bet the IT budget didn't get increased and the tech is still locked in a cupboard.

13 year old refuses to store fingerprint data for canteen tills.

O yeah, didn't even notice the date. Was I really that bored today that I went back to June's postings. Got nothing to hide but I don't like the idea of it. -
Impero is the bet for remote support but lacks chrome support with a proxy server for logging which pretty makes the logging bit useless for internet history. Who doesn't use chrome these days? The next option for me was AB tutor but that has issues as well. To get internet history for one pupil, you have to turn on every machine that he might have been on to download the history from them.

Why do we have roaming users in our C:/users folder?
DCUK6 replied to Zezima's topic in Windows Server 2008 R2
Have the same here on the DC. Have denied everyone permission apart from my account access to the server both in the remote desktop settings and GPO. First thing i did when building the network. It is a file server for admin as well as a DC and its only admin names in the C drive. Off topic but is someone a Runescape player, Zezima? -

According to Junior Librarian the prints arnt actually stores. Just a number calculated from it. Dont ask how though. The brought a fingerprint system into school when i was there. I refused and just didnt borrow any more books. -
Trolley is static and never moves. Plugged in 24/7. After the pat test was complete, I touched it with it plugged in and got nothing. It sounds so much like static but happens quite often apparently.

Had reports in that a laptop was giving shocks occasionally. Called in the PAT tester who tested every socket (I watched and looked at the results), tested the earth in the main case, scratched of some paint in door and main cabinet to check the earth. All OK. Did a visual check of the laptop charger which all passed the PAT tester machine. The outside protector on one of the IEC cable has been pulled out but the individual insulators around the cores wernt broken and it passed on the machine (failed visual). Anything else we can check before calling in a electrician? Cheers

Office 365 - Outlook. Find when calendar entry was entered?
DCUK6 replied to DCUK6's topic in Cloud Services
Found the answer. If you invite someone else you can reply to the original appointments and it gives the date. -
Is there any way to find out when a calendar entry was added to the system? We have a staff shared calendar and people are double booking. If i accept invites then you can see the date it was entered but if someone with permission adds a entry themselves then i cant see to find any logs of this? Anyone know if there is one? Thanks, Dan

Hi, Just trying to create a racing game in Kodu for a demo. Im trying to get it so that when the user hits a apple it slows them down. I need to use pages to do this (Following a lesson plan downloaded by the teacher). The videos i can find copy all the code from page one to page two including all the movement controls which seems very messy. What i would like page two to have is just the command to slow Kodu down and then after 2 seconds it should speed up again. Cant do it and its driving me nuts. Any ideas? Thanks

Thanks Tech, Looking much better.

Anyone know if it possible to increase the ground brush resolution so its not so blocky? Cant see it in the settings but videos show the circle brush has almost smooth edges.
