True - but from what I've heard, they've been working with Apple to get the application working? You'd think they'd allow them to implement it as a hidden service, configured by a password protected entry within 'Settings'? Or am I think too straight forward there... Haha!

The Impero for iOS looks interesting. I've downloaded and trialed it but it seems like their 'Impero' application has to be open (can be in the background) for it to even work at all. Which doesn't seem sensible, as the students will just close it? As for keyword detection, I'm not 100% - but I do know you can manually screenshot, view running apps and view live screen

Very good point about licensing. Quick question, whats the average Microsoft Agreement pricing for education? I've never actually done purchasing of that, I suppose you can get the agreement via a re seller?

I want to the split the text to columns. That's easy enough. The problem is, if the second student doesn't have 'Internet Access' the consent for 'Photograph Student' will be in the column where others have 'Internet Access' If you understand? No, 300 students - it is a small school! Probably will be a nice place to begin the NM profession though! Start small!

Yeah, I agree sippo - seems like that's always the case in IT. As my current role as IT Technician I often end up going 'above and beyond the call of duty'; suppose it's just part of the job...

I'm starting as a Network Manager in a secondary school in a few weeks, and was wondering if anyone had any tips/advise? I'll be essentially single staffed and there are approximately 300 students. Currently their servers are all physical and I definitely want to virtualise the network. My main concern is, what if there are 'backdoors' being left by the current technician? What's the best way to find these etc. Any tips, advise and experiences will be greatly appreciated and I'll be sure as heck posting on here a lot more than I currently do!! I've seen this post a few years back, but maybe there are some other opinions now!

So, we're looking into how we do profiles for our accounts and want to know other opinions. We currently have roaming profiles, but I've seen some places do mandatory for pupil accounts? Could anyone advise with some advantages/disadvantages to these? Thanks!

Hello, Is there a 'preferred' way to configure Group Policies? For example, should you apply them to containers/ou's or should you apply them to security groups with the scope options, then add those users to the security groups? Opinions? :-)

Could be possible. I disabled truncate logs for over the weekend and that's now cleared the error. But is it good to be suppressing errors like this?

We use the network Administrator account to run the VEEAM backup. I did see about disabling Truncate logs, but was a bit skeptical about it myself!
