The way you've written this out makes it sound like it's much less difficult than I imagined? Is this true? The issues are mainly relating to Ranger and the fact that it's corrupt and cannot be removed from the system. We've even had Ranger support at it and they've given up...

Hello, We're looking at migrating our current Domain Controller (Windows Server 2008) and it's replication (Windows Server 2008R2) to Windows Server 2012. We were just wondering how anyone else has gone about this, as we will want to start from the ground up rather than a simple upgrade due to the fact the current DC has some major issues. We will be migrating AD, Group Policy Management, DNS and DHCP. (On another note, would anyone further recommend not having DNS/DHCP on the DC? I've seen threads about this in the past....!

I read that it's for Server 2012 - does the file server need to be on 2012, or can I configure it on another server and point it to an 08R2 file server?

I've written about this before, but now we're seeing that 'offline files' has had mixed reviews? Has anyone used this in a scenario where staff have a mapped drive, then using offline files at home, then re-syncing at school? Does it work? Is it difficult? Any common problems? Thanks!

Most aren’t responding to a ping (a few do, but if you try to print you get a timeout error). All the printers are assigned a static IP address, checked over a printer and everything is how it should be. The printer was frozen until I unplugged the network cable; however I couldn’t access the menu etc without unplugging the network cable. As soon as the cable was unplugged it sprang back into life!

Hello, For some unknown reason, all of a sudden 80% of the printers on our network are failing jobs and on the print server end, upon going to the webpage for the printer it says the following: 'Printer webpage unavailable at -IP ADDRESS-. The printer may not support this feature, the printer may not be available, or the DNS registration of the printer is incorrect' This is preventing people from printing; the jobs are receiving a 'Connection timed out' error. HELP!

Hello, I don't know if anyone else is experiencing anything similar, however a lot of our projectors are flashing the temp light and/or displaying the message 'check airflow'. We will go to inspect, clean the filter and it will be okay for a day, and then it will return to this problem and it shuts the projector off. 90% of the time, the filter is not dirty? Is there any reason as to why this would keep appearing? Thanks.
