I'd take the opportunity to Run CAT6a along with a couple of ports in the ceiling for Wifi.

Defiantly the important question, LOS will make things much easier.
-
As a side to this, anyone running office 365/ gmail etc should be running 2FA as a minimum on admin accounts.

You can get SM transceivers for all types of switches, they are more expensive optics generally but if you are installing new fibre runs always single mode over multi mode. (You can get some fairly cheap non branded SM transceivers)

Assuming the above are correct and they are OM3 you should be able to support 10GE, for OM3 the maximum length is 300 metres. You would need new optics and depending on how the fibre cables are terminated new patch cables. Carbon Monoxide does strange things to the body - might be worth checking the carbon monoxide alarm just in case. Other than that, get an appointment at the docs.

I'm using Sultan CM, which works with Android Pay. (And Barclays Pay thing)

EAD versus Leased Line
ellsandell replied to Brave_heart's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
An EAD wouldn't give you internet connectivity itself, unless you were connecting to another site which already had internet connectivity. You want something like these for site internet access. (You aren't limited to just BT mind) -
EAD versus Leased Line

Strictly speaking EADs are leased lines, but I assume you mean internet links? An EAD is a private dedicated P2P Fibre link. -
Anyone had any luck running 10GbE over OM1?

For OM1/2 you still need a MCP. Mode Conditioning Patch Cable Tutorial | FS.COM -

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/10_Gigabit_Ethernet#10GBASE-LRM From this you may have some luck with LRM Optics coupled with mode conditioning patch cables. -
Ouch you must have been hit bad. [emoji51] We are back up and running barring some non-essential servers. Big thing for us is the GPs we support as well, so tomorrow is going to be busy. I drew the short straw of being on call all weekend... [emoji58]

As above - Cisco track is to not use VLAN 1 at all.

Bingo! Exactly that. Sophos / Avast and some other vendors have started blocking that URL which won't help things.

DHCP Servers potentially affected - along with if Trusts are running something like UCCX, (Cisco Call Centre handling) for example, that has a dependency on logging into a web/ desktop agent.

Microsoft EDU event - Tuesday 2nd May 2:30pm

Is fast logins and cutting the crap out not their aim? Let's face it domain join a PC withe the associated GPOs and you loose alot of the speed that makes W10 good (for home). How are Microsofts online services that requires this to work properly any different to Google's? Assuming you use O365 you get access to the Azure AD, and then pay for the intune. Arguably cutting out on prem infrastructure is what made Google such a success ( in the states mainly). Microsoft need to flesh out their proposal and show how schools have used it, with some real deployment examples and the costs. Sent from my A0001 using EduGeek mobile app -
