Hi, I must be doing something stupid as just getting an error that the cmdlet is not recognised. I've imported the Exchange powershell commands is this the right set?

Does anybody know if the OneDrive client will work with Azure AD connect seamless SSO or do we need to be fully federated? We have managed to get OneDrive to run but doesn’t login automatically even though or other office apps do.

I have been running a fully integrated Mac/Windows network using profile manager as the mdm for the past 5 years. It wasn’t the easiest thing to setup, lots of bumps with the initial config but once it was setup it’s worked pretty well. We have had the occasional problem that can take hours to fix as no documentation and very limited support online, but could never justify purchasing a mdm solution when profile manager gave us what we needed. We had everything fully locked down with network mapping the home drives from AD to the docks etc. Over the years I found it easier to do the majority of the customisation in a default user template and image with deploystudio. This limited the number of settings profiles to push out with profile manager as we did struggle sometimes pushing out things like chrome settings. That being said the Apple restrictions and environment came from the profiles, I just liked to add the extra personalisation that profile manager won’t give you. Using profile manager, deploy studio and Apple Remote Desktop was everything I needed to run a reliable AD integrated network. We had around 120 Macs and 300 ipads on one Mac Pro server Good luck! Happy to help if I can

Hello, I am having trouble with a domain based DFS namespace that we have published. The issue seems to be with a particular domain controller, DC2 on Site 2. If I use DC1 or 3 on Site 1 then I can access the share fine using the domain.internal\homefolder share path. If I try and repeat this on a machine using DC2 for it's AD and DNS then I get an error "can't find the share". Everything looks OK in the DFS configuration, it seems to be a few DCs that haven't got the config properly. We have seen this on a few different sites recently so just wondering if anybody else out there has worked it out already. Thanks

Are my school PC's good enough to upgrade to Windows 10?
HereIGoAgain2601 replied to steves22's topic in Windows 10
Best advice I can give you is stay on Windows 7 unless you are putting SSDs in everything. We use windows 10 across the trust of around 2000 devices. The newer ones with SSD are fine, anything with a HDD is slow, login times are terrible first login which in a school nearly everything is a first login. Even if it’s a brand new processor the PC still struggles with Win10. We have had great success replacing RAM and SSD in a lot of our old machines that were only core 2 duos. The speed increase was significant and login times match the brand new machines, the bottleneck is always the HDD. -
Hello We had to make these registry keys per printer and item level target to the relevant machines. Not sure if this will help you but worth a shot, sure I found it on here somewhere. The process was to manually add all the printers to a workstation and then use the registry import tool for these keys. I was skeptical at first but since doing this we have had no tickets on our helpdesk! Good luck

We were having what I believe was the same issue. First login and local profile creation printer wouldn’t be there or wouldn’t be set correctly as default. Second login everything fine.. in the end we had to make some registry edits to the user profile printer connections. Can’t remember where I read it now but seems to have solved all our problems will share tomorrow when in the office in case it helps

Hello We have a number of users who have access to multiple mailboxes. We do this by granting their individual user account Full Control of the mailbox in O365. It then shows up as a secondary mailbox. We have had a complaint this week that when opening the secondary mailbox, and attempting to compose a new message, the "From" address is still set to the user's default O365 personal login. I'm not sure if I am remembering incorrectly, but i seem to recall that when we used to click between the mailboxes the "from" would update to the currently acitve account. Am I mistaken? Just wondering how everyone else has experienced this as the user is quite insistent that they never used to have to manually select the correct address before. To make things worse it's the headteacher! Thanks

HP Prodesk 400 g3 image - mouse / keyboard not operational
HereIGoAgain2601 replied to paulvernon63's topic in Windows 7
Yeah we were able to RDP fine as we have it enabled by GPO and the machine joined that OU as part of our task sequence We use a program called double driver so got a set of working drivers from the HP out the box image at the time. Happy to ZIP them over to you if you can't find a working one. We have also found a neat little tool called Driver Pack.. if you remember to untick the bloatware that comes with it is really handy at finding drivers for machines Joel -
Direct Access connectivity issues
HereIGoAgain2601 replied to swarohi's topic in Windows Server 2016
A few questions from me as I have been having this trouble and managed to get it working after a while: 1) Have you got Windows Firewall setup right on your server and client PC? 2) Have you got IPV6 enabled on both? 3) You say the DNS records are right, in your direct access configuration do you have the IPV4 to 6 translation address set as the DA DNS server? I used these guides to help troubleshooting in case they are of any use https://directaccess.richardhicks.com/2015/09/22/directaccess-dns-not-working-properly/ https://directaccess.richardhicks.com/2017/07/10/top-5-directaccess-troubleshooting-powershell-commands/ There were also some articles I found about disabling the other IPV6 transition technologies and forcing it to use HTTPS instead Joel- 16 replies

HP Prodesk 400 g3 image - mouse / keyboard not operational
HereIGoAgain2601 replied to paulvernon63's topic in Windows 7
Interested if you find out what causes this - we have cloned the drivers from one of these into MDT, works perfectly in WinPE but then the keyboard and mouse don't work in Win7 OS. Works fine on Windows 10. We RDP onto the machines and point the PCs at our MDT driver share and it then installs correctly... so the correct driver must be in there... -

Hello, We have been using DeployStudio for a couple of years, very happy with it has been reliable and got us where we need to be. Having some problems however as we have now purchased a new iMac with a Fusion Drive. I've updated the DSR netboot and the DS version on the server - everything seems fine. However when running through the task sequences it gets stuck at various points throughout the way, until I press something on the keyboard to "wake it up"! On the odd time we have managed to get to the end of the task sequence, it seems the fusion drive step hasn't worked properly as we have two hard drives, the 30gb SSD with nothing on it, and 1tb standard drive with everything. Any ideas? We are running latest deploy studio and macOS. Thanks

Please let us know if they work out what it is !! Maybe it is WIndows 10 client related I'm going to try Windows 7 after. Capita does use 2012 R2 for hosted SIMS -
SIMS - RemoteApp - Minimises on opening
HereIGoAgain2601 replied to mullet_man's topic in Windows Server 2016
Hi, yeah capita have closed the call not doing much. I agree it does seem to be resolution based, and not specific to 2016 server as we have the same problems on 2012 R2 host. -
SIMS - RemoteApp - Minimises on opening
HereIGoAgain2601 replied to mullet_man's topic in Windows Server 2016
We have tried it on similar resolutions and having the same issue now. Spoke to Capita.. useless.. suggested I speak to Microsoft so we know where that will get us. They said they won't support local installs of remote app only their hosted remote service. Out of interest do you have Sophos AV as we are having loads of problems with that and wondering if it could be the cause. -

They are arranging a remote session for early next week as they think it's related to screen resolution. Will let you know if we get anywhere -
SIMS - RemoteApp - Minimises on opening
HereIGoAgain2601 replied to mullet_man's topic in Windows Server 2016
Nothing helpful yet.. this was their response.. I have gone back to them. In regards to the blank screen issue you are experiencing, can I ask that you ensure the user has the appropriate permissions to SIMS. Please also check the screen resolution of the monitor as this could be causing the screen to appear as it is. Please adjust the resolution accordingly to fit your monitor If the issue persists, can I ask that you rename the sims .net folder and redeploy the sims release to the workstation effected via Solus 3. If you are not using solus 3, please run simsapplicationsetup.exe from the setups folder to reinstall the client. Finally, please ensure you have run full windows updates on the workstations. -

Office 365 - Mail Items Not Switching Read/Unread
HereIGoAgain2601 replied to HereIGoAgain2601's topic in Cloud Services
I think the problem was being caused by cached exchange mode... as soon as we turned that off and put Outlook into Online mode the issue seems to have gone away
