Thanks - Ive enabled that, does it take a while to take effect? Attempting to test a Teams meeting between O365 account and Gmail account - but don`t get any OTP prompt?
-
Thanks for this. I think whats happening is the meetings that they had scheduled now pop up saying only people with access to this organisation can join its meetings How do you go about authenticating them via email, as you suggested?
-
Turned off Anonymous access and now I`m getting no end of hassle from Staff who have meetings with other school that they cant join. I`ve got a ticket open with MS to see if there is a way round this, otherwise we will have to turn this back on and T+L will have to suffer again!

Did this today, thought this was the solution to my problems with the pupils sharing invitations! [emoji22] Come on MS get the meeting options updated!
-
We quickly scrapped the Lobby Idea as staff complained that they would have to let everyone in and it would take too long.
-
So i`ve disabled our Guest access and enabled external access - My understanding of the two is that now we can still create meetings with external users but not Teams? I`m yet to test access to a meeting from a shared link. Tried with a guest account and I can access the meeting?? Must be missing something?!
-
I've enabled external access but disabled guest. Will this allow external users to join meetings with out org ok? Another thing pupils seem to be doing is joining other class meetings!. Which I don't think we can stop until MS release the invite only update.
-
How do you disable them changing their profile picture?
-
Thank you, Great help. I will try this and test external access afterwards.
-
Just wondering, does anyone have Guest access enabled? We currently do, for external users to be able to get in. Is there another way round allowing external people in if guest access is disabled?

Its getting ridiculous this now, teachers are complaining left right and centre!, and rightly so! Our default meeting option settings for who can bypass the Lobby are : "People in my organisation and guests" - there doesn't seem anything in between?! the setting I have in Teams Admin Centre is - Automatically admit people - "Everyone in my organisation" Is this the best setting we can get? or am I missing something?
-
Some of them seem to be able to get through without "(Guest)" on the end - Does anyone know why this is? In my testing it appended it with (Guest). Thanks

We've just signed up with these for our first PE next week. This is not filling me with much confidence!
-
Yeah most probably, I guess disabling guest access is the way to stop that?

Is anyone aware of an issues with Teams where external users are joining meetings via the lobby? Had two staff mention, on seperate lessons, that a student was admitted via the lobby under the name of pupil in school, but it wasn't that pupil. My first thought was another pupil had found out his password, but just reading on a Teams Facebook group that other have had exactly the same. It seems to be only since we've switched to using the lobby. A massive safeguarding issue if this is true.

Changed this for students aswell as they had the admit to "everyone"!. Is that the same setting(s) you have?
-
I think its usually a bit longer - I usually give it 24 hrs
-
That`s great. Thank you
-
Hi, could someone point me in the direction of enabling the setting to stop pupils starting the meeting and wait for the meeting organiser to start Thanks

MS have confirmed it is 300, they didn't know how we managed to get 360 in to a meeting. (There's a possibility that there wasn't 360 in the meeting as this was just passed on to me from a member of staff!). Thanks
-
Looking for the same, has anyone any recommendations?
-
What`s the maximum amount of people allowed in a meeting? MS say it 300 but Ive just received and email from a member of staff saying they had 360 in a meeting and some users then got the "sorry the meeting is full" message. Can anyone shed any light on what the current limit is? (This was a meeting not a Live event) Limits and specifications for Microsoft Teams - Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Docs Thanks
-
Great thanks, that's my view also.
-
No I didn't realise there was a separate one!. If that's the case then that will be fine.
