We've been asked to create a email account that parents can email to which will then auto reply with a message on the lines of ...Thanks for your email, a member of staff will reply to you in the next 24hrs... Would it be best to use Automatic replies for this in the mailbox settings? or is there a better way? Using Office 365. Thanks

Can someone help me understand when users should and shouldn't be receiving an email notification upon creating a new meeting in Teams? I keep getting users tell me they haven't received an email that a new meeting was setup and others did. So I've always told our users to create meetings (for those in a Team) using the "add Channel" option - This will then add a calendar entry and also email them that the meeting has been setup. From my testing this seems to be consistent. Is this correct? Individual meetings should also get an email when a user creates a meeting via the "Add attendees" option - Also this seems to be consistent in my testing. The other day someone created a meeting, added the channel but also added three users (who were already in the Team) in the "Add attendees" (why they did this I don't know!?) It seems those three in the "Add Attendees" received an Email invite but others didn't?! Has anyone got any guides on this? MS didn't seem to know and just pointed me to the User voice to suggest this feature?! Thanks

Managed to get it back online. Going to go for a Demotion tomorrow. Never had to do this before - So is it just a DCPROMO I have to do? All the FSMO roles are on 1 of our other 2 Win2k12 Servers, I've changed DNS on all servers and switches away from that server. There's nothing else I have consider is there?

Ive got a server 2008 r2 server that ive needed to remove a while ago, its gone offline this morning. Not sure the error yet. Its a DC but ive moved all roles off a while ago, whats the best way of removing this DC if i cant get it back online tomorrow?

Two teachers teach the same subject at the same time and want to have one lesson instead of them both doing separate lessons, there's two Teams created with each Teacher in their own Team, can this be achieved?

Yeah I've set this as default via Powershell but it still lets them kick people out as an option in "Show participants" and click on the three dots teams.pdf

Ok so I've made a bit of progress on this, changing the "Who can Present" setting to Only me stops them from muting each other but it hasn't removed the ability for them to remove other participants out of the meeting!. I've just been on the phone with MS about this and they suggested that the students shouldn't be Members but Guests??. Could anyone confirm how they have their pupils added in each Team? we currently have them as Members and staff as owners. Thanks

Creation of meeting is done via Teachers Calendar and then this is added as normal in the Team and also an email inviting to the meeting to their school email address. I assume some of them will be joining via the link in their email but most via Teams. Is it different when they join via link in Email?

Possibly?, I thought as being a member of the Teams that this wouldn't be the case or it wouldn't be possible? How could they join as a guest?

Right I'm stuck with this one, Could any one help me figure out why pupils can still get to the muting of other pupils and also it seems like they can kick others out of the meeting. In my testing on a similar account to the pupils with the same policies I cant replicate this but they are definitely doing this as someone has done it today and also a Teacher has confirmed they can do this. Im missing something somewhere in the policies but cant seem to see the wood for the trees! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Thanks. Whilst were on the subject - What "policy package" do you have set for your students? I have the "Education (Secondary school student) and then in Assigned policies i have created my own and applied them. Is the correct way?

Hi, Sorry if this has been asked before - I had a quick search but couldn't find anything. We've just started using Teams - A Few of the teachers have noted that the pupils can mute everyone including the Teacher, is there anything in the Polices to stop this? Also It seems they can remove others from the meeting, can this be changed in the policy? Thanks
