Just had a teacher in the office telling us his USB memory stick corrupted over the Christmas break, no backup and he had his entire careers work on there. Despite numerous emails to staff asking them not do this, or at least take a regular backup, this still happens. Any advice on how to force staff into not using memory sticks to run their life? We have Onedrive setup, syncing using the desktop app. One idea is to ban use of USB drives through a GPO? but I don't imagine that would go down well with staff?! Thanks

We have 40 Lenovo 100e Chromebooks - can these be re imaged with Windows? Only asking as we have also received the same model but the Windows version.

Can we buy better WLAN cards to resolve this? We don`t have any issue with Wireless performance other than this model, and we have two trolleys full of these.

I`ve setup a basic Guest SSID on Aruba VC, IP assignment via the controller, Authentication via the "Internal Server" but when I join the Guest SSID the redirect page just times out. Obviously missing something, somewhere! Can anybody help?

Just wondering how people have setup their Aruba Guest SSID? Is a Radius server the best way to go? Any guides around to help setup? Thanks

Thanks everyone for the help. We have managed to modify the WLAN driver on the devices to force it to use AC, this with updating the driver has enabled to get what I would class as "OK" speeds. ...and yes, these laptops are a pile of garbage!, bad battery length, keys falling off (not helped by students pulling off the remaining ones!), expensive keyboard replacements. A lesson learnt for the next purchase!

I need to order a few fibre patch leads to connect a new build to our main site, silly question, do the patch leads need to be the same grade as the fibre cable run? OM3 or OM4 etc... Thanks

We`ve just installed our Aruba Wireless throughout and really struggling with connection speeds with Laptops. We have 60 Lenovo V15-IIL Laptops that only seem to connect on the 802.11n radio and not AC. Even when 20 or 30 login in a classroom, log on speeds for some take 10+ minutes The WLAN card (Realtek 8822CE) should be able to connect to AC but only seem to connect to "N" Speeds are 50 mbps, connecting to the nearest AP, signal strength is 100% Is this a device (Laptop) issue or can I change something on the AP? Any help would be appreciated

Does anyone have a guide on the amount of devices you can have connected to a AP before you get performance issues via a Aruba AP515? Just having a few performance issues with a bank of 30 laptops logging on, a number of them constantly sat pulling network settings between logging on and pulling down the desktop Running local profiles Thanks

Hi, Not sure if this is possible, we have a number of Multi-function devices in school (Konica Minolta C253) where staffprint to, staff have a copier code which has to be inputted manually in the printer driver of every PC for it authenticate with the copier for it to then print their documents. Is there any way of automating the inputting of the copier code in the print driver? Or a better way of doing this to the current way we do this? It takes a lot of our time having to do this for staff and also Staff tend to forget how to input this code and\or not understand that printing to these devices isn't the same as printing to anetworked printer. Hi, We`re currently using Veeam 11, I`m looking into backing up our Virtual machines to the cloud as part of a backup in case of Ransomware, and have a Air Gapped snapshot of our VM`s in the cloud, could anyone who`s currently doing this just briefly explain what cloud provider they`re using and what licenses I need to set this up? I`m glad its not just us then! As mentioned, once they get round to helping you, tickets seem to get resolved quite quickly, its just the 6 days before that is very frustrating!

We moved to Biostore last summer, its been pretty bad since we moved, since they`ve been taken over by IRIS, their support has been terrible. Their support seems to be run by around 3 people, its taken me two weeks for them to fix a hardware fault, which only seemed to speed up once I emailed their product manager and complained. From our experience, I would STRONGLY advise you not to use IRIS

Hi, we`re having an issue where pupils using shared ipads are leaving themselves logged in at the end of their lesson, then for the next pupil to have access to their 365 account or have to sign out. In an ideal world, pupils would remember to sign out at the end of the lesson but it rarely happens. Just wondering if there an software we could use or anyone has any recommendations to force a log off after a certain tine. Thanks in advance
