Windows 8 & 10 File Explorer Ribbon Customizer (ADM Template)
maxrebo replied to jacobjb's topic in Windows 10
I`m probably missing something but I can get the policies to take effect, as a test I`ve disabled a few (In the Home tab\New Folder), Gpupdate, reboot several times and there still live. (From previous comments I believe it should grey them out) I've tried this on W10 1709 and also 1809. Is there other polices that need to be enabled for these to work?- 37 replies

Is there a way to stop this?, Students creating a Hyperlink in MS Word to c:\ which gives them access to the local drive. I cant seem to see anything in Group Policy which relates to this? Thanks

Perfect thank you

I Need to hide\Disable this as the students have found a way of creating shortcuts via the "new" tab in there. Is there a Group Policy to remove this? I cant seem to find a specific one anywhere. thanks

Could someone with this rule help me out... I`m trying to block .zip files through Office 365 Mail flow (I've managed to block exes via the "Block executable content") I've created a rule using "Any attachment content includes" added "ZIP" then "reject the message with the explanation" but when testing by sending a zip file via my personal email account, it lets it through The .exe rule works like it should but not this one. Thanks in advance

We have a Ricoh MFP that maps through Group Policy to users desktops for them to print, the device is setup with Authentication codes on the Copier, they then need to input in Printer preferences\Autnetication/Account Track on the PC for it to authenticate and print.. The problem is we have to do this manually (for every user) as the staff don`t know\Cant do this. Does anyone know any way that these Authentication codes can be inputted automatically?

I've made a slight Boo Boo when setting up a VM and created two partitions on the same Virtual Disk in Windows 2012. C:\ being first and E:\ being second. I now am running out of space on C:\ and cant expand it as its not at the end of the virtual disk. Is it possible to move E:\ to another Virtual disk (Create a Virtual disk in Vsphere) and then move E:\ to there? And then im able to expand C:\ Thanks in Advance

Thank you. Sorry forgot to mention we only have the MDM profile on. We will look into the DEP option

AFAIK there`s no way of hiding or stopping removal of the MDM\Apple Configurator profile on IOS, is this still the case? . Does anyone have any suggestions on how to stop the pupils taking this off?. Words got around now on the location of the profile and that if they remove this then they can get to apps which were hidden using Apple configurator and\or Lightspeed. Thanks

Were looking in to moving away from IWB and Projectors and currently trialling several Touchscreen options. Unless we go for the Promethean option then our Active inspire software will be Un-licensed. Our Maths department use AI on a daily basis and I`m predicting they wont like the fact they wont be able to use this once the Touchscreens have been installed. Could any one who`s been in this scenario (I`m sure many) let me know how the staff have taken to this? AFAIK Clevertouch software (CleverMaths) will allow opening of AI Flipcharts. and they can then save them in CleverMaths. Thanks

I`m trying to make a list of jobs for my 2 Technicians to do on a Daily, Weekly and Monthly basis. I`m sure there was a thread discussing this before but I can t seem to find it, could anyone share any Daily and Weekly tasks they have to hand that they ask their techies to do?

The same as you no but I think we were on v69 when we had the problem and updating to v70 fixed it straight away. We haven't had any reported issues recently
-
We upgraded to the latest version a few weeks after and this seemed to fix the issue for us

Sorry when I say "Certified" I mean verified by an electrician. Which is where the cost will be. Thats if they will verify someone elses work?

Confident on doing it myself its just, by doing it yourself, and if these sockets were to cause a fire, the house insurance wouldn't cover this as they wont be certified. Yes I thought it might be upwards of £50. The sockets will be very easy to install as they will be in the garage a meter away from the DB.
