Anyone got any recommendations for wireless at home and what i should buy. I currently have one apple airport extreme located in a room downstairs. The issue is the house walls are really thick and the door is usually kept closed so the dogs can't get in. It means that upstairs wifi can be a bit slow at times and even downstairs when people are streaming. It is possible to run cat6 cables outside and into the attic if need be to get an access point up there. Just wondering what equipment you would recommend as i have looked at ubiquiti but wanted an opinion from everyone else.

At my new job just looking through the event logs. This error seems to keep cropping up The session setup from computer '(computer name)' failed because the security database does not contain a trust account '(computer name$)' referenced by the specified computer. . This PC is not in the AD anymore and cannot find it in the room. When i ping it i get the ping request could not find the host. Any ideas?

Yes checked that and all seems fine.

On some of our printers and scanners around school we keep getting an error on the touchscreens from papercut. The error is: "unable to connect. Failed to initialise device capabilities store Retrying... It keeps trying to reconnect but with no luck. Any ideas?

TsoHost is dead cheap for hosting and support is brilliant. For the sake of £50 a year for there premium package you can't go wrong. Some of there packages start at £15 a year. I get trying to save money but it's £50..

We paid £150 for 3 years hosting and support at tsohost which you cannot complain at!

Unfortunately they upped and left. I am going in a couple of weeks then got a tech starting after that. At the moment there is no support.

Hi all Just wondering if anyone has any advise on what i should look at when i move jobs in a couple of weeks. At my current school we are a CC4 school and i am moving to a vanilla network which could do with a lot of work judging by what i have been told. I have not managed a vanilla network only in my training as my last two schools have both been CC4 schools. The school i am going too could do with a lot of work and apparently has no documentation so just wondering what you would look at first and what differences there are between CC4 and Vanilla networks.

RM Broadband had it here for last 2 years and only had 1/2 a day downtime in that period.

Yes that what we are trying not to do. I am half tempted to create a fake user and then create the page from there. Then we have got the joy of trying to merge that with the auto generated page.

Just wondering what the best setup is to create a facebook page/business. Looking at it do we need to create a facebook profile and then create the page from there? If so what should i call the facebook profile as i would not want it as our school name so it could be searched. Anyone got any best practices to setting this up as facebook have not made this easy.

What are your exact problems you are having? Also what spec server have you got it running on?

That is surprising. We have roughly 900 kids here and ours works fine for 95% of the time. I would give them a call and just see what they can do to help as they do offer great support.
