Does removing DNS cause server to reboot?

Sadly XEN server has killed my Domain controller, I wont even be able to access it! I have 2 other dc's, 1 is the main with all roles, etc.. also I have a second one with dns ad gc on it but its on this stupid XEN server with issues so as soon as I shut it down it wont come back again so whats my best bet here? going to lose 2 dcs *edit* the main one with all the roles is a physical box else where. So in theory I need to destroy both dc's on the XEN server without being able to demote either or get rid of DNS on them so whats the bets thing to do?

it wasnt unsuccessfully demoted it was still active so will this work? also will this work for 2008 r2?

I ve had a dc completely die on me so how do I manually removew it from the domain cleanly? It only had dns and global catalogue on it

I m converting my servers from XEN to Hyper V now I m worried about 1 thing and searches seem very vague about it: When I go to install Hyper V it sees both SAN disks as OFFLINE (disk 1 is still XEN for server1 and disk 2 is free for server2 to install Hyoer V - fibre channel) now do I make disk two 'online' for server 2 and because server 2 uses disk 1 for XEN this should affect disk 1 unless I made disk 1 online? Just dont want to destroy disk 1 for server 1 by mistake!

I m doing quite well, squash (sport) is 1000 cals an hour. I eat alot of chicken, fish, turkey, veg drink, green leafed salads, soya with cearel and dont touch any bread brown or white!

I ve lost 14 pound sin two months, squash and cycling plus about 1500 cals a day (but its a very strict diet but very nutitional)

Have uou double checked that the dc is a authporised NTP server? (Its isnt on by default if I recall)

HP seems very vague about this and searching on google seems very vague. We are having something done with the electrics and I need to shutdown the SAN for the first time. I gather you switch the VMs off first then the SAN then bring SAN back up first then the VMs but I m not sure how to shut it down safety! without just pulling the power out so anyone any ideas or done this before?
