wembley 77 was that the one where we did a pitch invasion and broke the crossbar? where was the malice in that, we were sitting on the crossbar celebrating and it broke and the fans did a pitch invasion and nicked a bit of grass. I wasnt even born then but my folks were at the game and from what ive been told it wasnt a 'riot' it was the scottish fans celebrating. And yes obviously not every english man is a hooligan so i retract the insinuation.
-
and when have the tartan army ever rioted?
-
the celtic ones are a joke tho tbh just a bunch of bams trying to be hard.. they get kicked out of parkhead by their own fans..
-
the players from england came north so they could play in europe after your teams were banned from europe for your usual hooliganism
-
is wales not its own country too
-
just seen @aerospacemango post.. true, they would need to extend it to a 22 club team or something.. Yeh its a shame queens park never won the finals in 1884 and 1885 then there would be a scottish club on the fa cup too ;p

@nephilim, with our current players maybe, but even the championship clubs get more money than the SPL. How long do you think it would take for us to win promotion into the EPL and then with the 50 million quid, plus shirt sponsors deals that would sky rocket, we would be competing pretty well within a couple of seasons. How many clubs in England get 60,000 at a home game every game of the season? And if we were playing chelsea, manchesters, spurs, aresenal, etc a few times a season we could easily add another 20,000 to that. Also we have a massive travelling support, too which would be a boost for the clubs and cities in england as well. You mention wales - what leagues do swansea and cardiff play in?

ooh im glad i stumbled upon this thread.. had been holding out on making my own one in case my biggoted and sectarian views crept in Interesting article in the BBC today BBC Sport - Rangers' Craig Whyte not fit and proper person - Scottish FA Im loving the fact that rangers are struggling. Hopefully they will be found guilty of cheating and be stripped of their titles as well since 1998 (since the SPL started). The money that the TV pays the SPL is a pittance compared to what the EPL get (the parachute payment for the relegated team from the EPL is more than the entire SPL TV deal) and each club gets £50m a year I believe. Can you imagine Stoke and small clubs like that prospering if it wasnt for the TV money. If rangers go into liquidation, it is up to the SPL clubs to vote whether they come straight back in. I think that for the sake of the themselves they will vote them back in. A lot of the smaller clubs need the gate reciepts of the visitiing old firm fans as part of their budget. Although, the real solution is just to let Celtic into the EPL and rangers and the rest of the scottish minnows can fight amongst themselves

.exe file wont run over RDP / VNC etc
RabbieBurns replied to RabbieBurns's topic in How do you do....it?
the .exe is literally just a bunch of buttons which send an on/off through IP to the device which then implements the switch on or off. Its just a little GUI made in ( i think ) visual basic. Would a screen frame rate affect that? I can send anyone the process monitor caputre of it failing in rdp/vnc and of it working locally if they think they would be able to tell anything from it (3mb each) pm me -

.exe file wont run over RDP / VNC etc
RabbieBurns replied to RabbieBurns's topic in How do you do....it?
its a .exe file on the desktop Im trying to double click on. It just does nothing in any sort of remote controlled environment. -
Ive got a bespoke .exe file which connects to an IP device which is used to control the multimedia in a classroom. (turn on lights, turn on projector etc) by clicking on buttons on the app. There is dedicated PC in the classroom that the teachers remote connect to, and this .exe runs on that pc. Problem is, when they remote connect, the .exe doesnt run. If they log in locally to the machine, the .exe runs. Ive disabled the firewall etc on the pc, but cannot figure for the life of me why this wont work over a remote session. There is obvioulsy something different when running remotely from locally but I have no idea what those are or how to get this .exe to run.. Help!

Will that AP9630 work with the SmartUPS 1500? Is it a simple job to install it?
-
My UK home APC SmartUPS 1500 was called into action at the weekend, and it seems the battery in it is completly stuffed as it was only able to power 2 servers and a 24 port switch for about 5 mins, and I used to get at least half an hour out of it previously when I tested it, but probably more as I never really let it run all the way dowy. So Im looking at a replacement, and would like something with network connectivity so I can monitor it over the network and get emails etc from it. I was looking at the Eaton 5PX 1,500VA with the network management card but its a bit out my price for home at the moment. Looking for suggestions for something that might be ~ the 500UKP mark and run these 2 servers and the switch for at least 30 mins. Cheers

Ive brought the backuped disk up in a VM and its fine. Shadowprotect backs up the disk not the files, and lets you restore the entire server not just an application or file.
