Ive got an old 98 box that runs a 16bit dos app, that outputs directly to a parallel port printer. I want to virtualize this 98 machine, however I am unsure how to emulate the parallel printer output. There is no option within the app to set printer, it just spews out directly to ltp1. Is there any way to emulate an lpt port in windows 98 under hyperv / esx?

Ghost Woes with Dell Latitude ST Tablet
RabbieBurns replied to RabbieBurns's topic in Enterprise Software
These seem good with win8 Ive just rolled out all 60 with win8 for the new term. Figured it was better to have something at least a bit useable. The OSK is 100x better, but opening the start menu from the desktop is tricky even with the stylus, and most apps are still desktop aps that drop to the desktop to run. -

Ive managed to go to A04, got all the devices working. Then I tried to clone the disk using ShadowProtect to another slate. It seemed to work, however wireless and audio had a Red X next to them. Investigating, it seems that 99% of the services are stopped, and I cannot start them, eg the AudoSrvc try to start it manually and get Very strange and I cant figure it ouyt. -
I gave up alcohol for lent and continued an extra 10 days. In that 50 days, I didn't change my exercise or my eating regime and i lost 6 kilos. I have started drinking again and the 6 kilos have piled back on. So i need to figure out how to balance the booze with enough exercise to burn it off.

I want instant notifications though, not weekly or daily. Previoiusly i would be emailed notification that someone had replied to a subscribed thread, and that would be all the notifications i would get until i then visited the thread. Although it seems to have settled down now so Im not sure if SZH has fixed or changed anything?

Anyone done an install following this guys guide? I find its a bit of a mish mash between beta/RC/RTM Ive followed the RTM guide from Part 1. Installation - to Part 5. Adding WSUS, Adding the SUP role, deploying the Configuration Manager Client Agent but I cant find an RTM guide for anything beyond this..

how is it using a free / opensource solution? How many manhours did it take to configure / whats the ongoing maintenance / /reconfiguration requirements? We need an enterprise grade solution that im not sure an opensource solution would provide withouth paying for massive levels of support. ?

i seem to be getting email notifications for every time someone posts in a thread (at this moment in time its this one: http://www.edugeek.net/forums/general-chat/97493-ive-not-seen-rain-like-4.html) I havent been reading the thread, normally i only get new post notifications if i have previously read the old ones.
