I eventually got it to work, more luck than skill I think but I setup a new group solely for that iPad and added the device and the user to that group, then deployed the apps to that new group and they installed! Yeah I am using the guest account mode. The device is for one user but occasionally they want a student to use some literacy apps so the guest account seemed the way forward.

If ASM has been setup, you can use the apple configurater app on another device to add them to ASM. Turn them on and go through the setup untill you get to the wifi setup screen, then use the configurater app on another device. You basically point the camera at it and it adds it to your ASM account, then you can sync to intune etc

Hi All, Dipping toes into Intune after year of using the free Meraki I've managed to get a bunch of Ipads all setup with user affinity, apps deployed to them, all good and working. We have one user however who would like to make use of the guest account feature, so I created a new enrollment profile with the following settings:- User Affinity & Authentication MethodUser affinity Enroll without User Affinity Management Options Supervised Yes Locked enrollment Yes Shared iPad Yes Maximum cached users: 2 Maximum seconds after screen lock before password is required null Maximum seconds of inactivity until user session logs out 0 Require Shared iPad temporary session only Not configured Maximum seconds of inactivity until temporary session logs out 0 Sync with computers:Allow All Device Name Apply device name template (supervised only) Yes Device Name Template: {{SERIAL}}-{{DEVICETYPE}} Cellular data plan Activate cellular data No This seemed to work fine and the iPad configured correctly, asked for an apple id to login and we are also able to using the guest account without any issue. The only problem is that none of the deployed apps will install to this device. For example I have the Office 365 app as an iOS VPP app in Intune assigned to my all uses group and some other apps assigned to say, just teaching staff, which the user of the device is, and another app assigned to all devices. All the licenses for the apps are of the device type. None will install. I have even tried creating a new group and adding that device and the user to it and assigning the apps to that group but still nothing. If I checked the managed apps under the device in Intune, all the assigned apps are there with their status as Resolved intent - "Required install" Installation status - "Waiting for install status" - Interestingly if I go to teh application and click on device install status, the device I'm trying to assign it to is not listed. I have tried pressing the sync button the the device overview page but nothing happens although the device seems to be contactable as the last check-in time stays update to date. if anyone can offer anything to this id be most grateful! Thought, ooh that sounds too easy after trying for ages to get it working, and I still can't get it working. The OneDrive client just sits there and if you hover the mouse over it, it just says "Signing in" Policy is deffinitly being applied so the results wizzard says. Back to the drawing board.....

Would love a popup that says something like "This would cost your department £xx in colour or £xx in greyscale"

Following with interest. We had our bars inspected and load tested yesterday. 2 out of 7 failed due to bolt heads stripping off when tightened but like above, it is an ancient install of 40 odd 15amp ties lines into dimmers. I'd love to be able to replace at least some fixtures with LEDs. We already have a nice desk that can be moved from the drama space to the main hall when required. The cost though is unjustifiable as the system is not used for curriculum based activities, just open evenings, concerts and some performances that are too big for the drama studio. I've searched for funding grants but the ones I've found and forwarded to the relevant people have either been not looked into or shot down.

We sometimes get that same message come up. It's something to do with either office or auto signing in to the onedrive app but haven't got to the bottom of it yet

Hi, Yeah sorry I did. Turns out I had previously had two different languages deployed so I needed to add both en-gb and en-us to my upgrade package, then whatever version the computer had, it could upgrade. Hope this helps

Yeah the sync was succeeding but not pulling any updates down. Sorted it now, installed the latest hotfix and restarted the server and now it's synced up properly and I have marches updates. Thanks

Hmmmm have just updated to 2211 and ran a SUP Sync and still no March updates [emoji53]

Has anyone else not had March's updates come through on their software update point yet or is it just me? Currently running config manager 2203. Thanks.

Thanks for the replies. I knew about the from field on the email, but I don't really want to give send on behalf permission on e eryones account to me or any service account. I have found the "requestor" field in the "Start an approval" box and used dynamic content to fill that with the responders email. Will see how it goes

Hi all, So I have made a planned absence system for staff. Staff sign in to an MS form, fill in details, request then gets sent to responsible person using an approval process, depending on approved or rejected, emails then get sent to various people with required details to arrange cover etc. Issue I'm having is because I made the flow under my account, all the requests and approval/rejection emails appear as if they have come from me. Of course I have included the member of staffs name in the details but the prefilled top part of the emails still have my name in it as if I made the request and send the decision. Is there anything I can do to get round this? Thanks

We have a A&H qu16 which is relatively straight forward to use, if you use it regularly, has been in place for 4 years but doesn't get moved around a lot. The company who assist with our production once a year bring an SQ5 and have done for the last 4 years, its part of their hire stock so gets a great deal of use so must be built strong and, according to the engineer is much more intuitive than the qu. To use an example, if working with a stage box, on the qu, he says you can only patch channel 1 on the desk to input 1 on the stage box etc but on the SQ you can patch and channel 1 on the stage box to any channel on the mixer. This might not be important to most people but it makes the world of difference to them!

Obvious one but do you have windows 11 ticked as a product in the software update point settings?

Sounds like a driver issue either a NIC or storage driver might need adding to your boot images.

Hi All, I am trying to update office using SCEM/SCCM but am running into an issue with versions. Using the Office 365 client management feature, I created a update group and deployment group for version 2209 and deployed this to my test machine. All went well and office was update, hurrah So next I deployed it to a suite of computers, all failed. Couldn't for the life of me work out why, then i realised that during the summer I rebuild our SCCM server, so in turn a new version of office was created on the server. The suite of computer I tried to deploy it to was rebuilt using teh new SCCM server, where as my test machine was built using my old SCCM server, with an older version of office on it. So in short, deploying office 2209 to machines with 1907 on them updates fine. But deploying it to machines with 2206 on them fails. Some of the error codes are CAS failed to download update (246b14a2-1b2c-4259-bd80-c45a0e5e85fc). Error = 0x80200061. Releasing content request. and CAS failed to download update (246b14a2-1b2c-4259-bd80-c45a0e5e85fc). Error = 0x800705b4. Releasing content request. All sorts of internet answers lead to they usual boundary groups and and timeouts etc but this has to be something more specific with office and updating the older version works fine, all other updates and deployments work fine. Anyone have any ideas or seen this themselves? Thanks

Hi Webman, Thanks for replying, unfortunately I've already reverted to a previous version so I can have something up and running for tomorrow. I didn't notice anything wrong with the url, the only thing I did notice is that between room view and day view, one way has the date in the url with a "/" and the other way uses "-", don't know if that has anything to do with it at all. Its probably an IIS related issue again!!!!!

Hi All, I'm in the process of putting the net timetable into Classroom Bookings and have come across an error where whenever I used the drop down to change either the room in "room at a time" view or the date in "day at a time view" I get an error saying the URI you submitted has disallowed characters. I'm guessing it's the = as when I add it to the permitted uri characters section in the config.php file, I then get a 404 page cannot be found error (from the booking system, not the webserver) Any ideas as to why these might be happening? When I get the "blank page" come up after making a booking, the booking are created if I refresh the page. Obviously when I click "create bookings" after enabling multiple selecting, I font get as far making the booking as the modal box doesn't come up. The only error in the log is... ERROR - 2022-08-04 12:07:21 --> Severity: Core Warning --> PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library 'mysql' (tried: C:\php7\ext\mysql (The specified module could not be found.), C:\php7\ext\php_mysql.dll (The specified module could not be found.)) Unknown 0 Which from what I can tell has always been the, even before the update. Thanks
