Spoke too soon [emoji25] Got to the checks page, green ticks on everything. Press the install button and it goes straight to a http 500 error. Any ideas, thought we had it cracked?

Ideal, adding the "?" sorted it and got me to the configure database page. Thank you so much. I've changed the uri_protocol back to query_string as well and it still works. Thanks again. Great product [emoji108]

Hi, thanks for responding. The config file I mentioned is the one in the application/config folder. I modified the database file as well with no luck. I have created the config file in the /local folder as you mentioned and input the details but I still get the same result I'm afraid. Also changing QUERY_STRING to PATH_INFO also made no change. I did have it up and running on a dev server last year and remember I had a similar issue setting it up but managed to work it out, no luck this time round, and I dont have acess to the old server. Hello, I'm trying to get the classroom booking system by by @webman up and running but think I am missing something with the config. It's a new 2019 server with IIS and mysql. I have modified the config file with my site name. When browsing to the site to start the install I get this displayed on the page "No input file specified." and the url changes itself so the ending of it is index.php/install The latest entries in the log file displays this.... We starting to play with windows 10 (Late to the party, I know) and have come accross an issue where a student account can get access to the C: by clicking on the start menu and typing "C:". C: does not show in "This PC" and the run box is also restricted and even typing C: in a windows explorer window is restricted with the error message saying "Accessing the resource 'c:' has been dissallowed. Any ideas on a registry or policy I can use to disable accessing it this way? Thanks

We use smoothwall as the radius server so it knows who everyone is and applies the correct filter policies for the user

Hi, We have started to see an issue with our ActivPanels, both standard and 4K where the computer will change display settings and stop displaying on the AvtivPanel. Out desktops are set to clone the display, Monitor plugged in with VGA and Activpanel with HMDI. This is happening on many different models of PC with different graphics chipsets. Teachers mostly say that it happens when they ESC a power point, it's doesn't happen if the Alt + Tab to another window from the presentation though. I have read some other posts about the but none that offered a solution, and have struggled to find where the firmware version is displayed on the TV itself. Any offerings to stop me pulling my hair out! Thanks

Take a look at vMix. It can take inputs from various sources cameras, ppt's, videos etc and can stream to most streaming services. It pretty easy to use and they do a 60 day full feature free trial. If it were me, I'd set this up and stream to youtube, obviously on a privite stream and then just open the youtube link in each room you need to show it in.

Hi all, I really can see what i'm doing wrong but I cannot get the Group Policy settings imported. I have copied the folders ({72B84CF5-EE98-4BDA-93AC-27E836172731}, {AB0FBCC4-DF0F-4DBC-8830-1FEF8C4E7688}, {D1A4D662-35AA-4F6E-946B-17D8FFB46511}) to my SYSVOL/Policys folder like I usually do when adding new ones but nothing is showing up under User or Computer settings when I go to make a new policy. Am i missing something........ Our domain level is 2008 R2, do I need to be doing it form a windows 10 machine? ( Obviously I installed classic shell on the windows 10 machine but my office machine that I do everything from is 8.1) I have tried copying the to Svsvol/policies, sysvol/policies/policydefinitions, sysvol/policies/policydefinitions/en-us Thanks for you help.

I use google's "My Tracks" when on the bike

I mean it may say no device if there isnt any plugged in, so plug some in and try. Although this is unusual on a laptop

Silly question but do you have any headphones or speakers plugged in as this can cause windows to report that no device is installed

What windows logo are they freezing at? Loading winpe or loading full windows after ts been applied?

Following with interest as having the same issue. Programs like office appear no matter who logs in but I also have some shortcuts to webpages, i.e one to the accelerated reader login page and one to our eclipse.net libary catalogue, and only one of these show on the start screen for all users, no matter which order they are in the xml file, only the same one shows every time. They were both created at the same time in the same way. I have also created shortcuts to the staff and students shared drives and neither of these show for any user apart from the one who created it.

Using ruckus we have 5 different WLANS:- One for School owned devices (Staff issued laptops, tablets etc) controlled using MAC address. Another for all 5 laptop trolleys, (4 in departments, 1 mobile), again controlled by MAC address Another for Staff BYOD, controlled using AD authentication. Another for 6th form BYOD, again controlled using AD authentication (they have to sign an AUP before they are made members of the security group that the ruckus controller looks for to allow access). And another for guest access controlled using generated guest passes on the ruckus controller.

Well it depends on your network of course but 10 does sound a bit much. Ive been looking a setting vlans up on ours and have deduced on 1 management, 1 for main network and 1 each for different wireless lans (student byod, staff byod etc)

We use it for inventory/asset management, helpdesk with the user portal linked to AD. Its running on a vm with 2cpus and 4 gb of ram, we have about 1000 devices in it. The scans can be a bit resource intensive but you can customise them to not interfere too much. We have devices that are able to report their status by email set to email the helpdesk, so tickets are made automaticaly for things like paper jams and printers running out if toner, access points going offline etc. The inventory can be customised so you can add your own fields for each device, eg we have a date field for when projector bulbs were last changed, filters were last cleaned. All in all its takes a bit of setting up but is worth it

Have a look at vMix, Free version gives your 4 inputs which could be camera/settopbox captures or powerpoints or videos or overlays. We use it for awards evenings and such.
