Wss in vestigating this in the summer found it might possibly be an issue with using the windows HD audio driver vs the manufacturers drivers but sticking an audio lead in fixed it, which is most inconveinent sometimes

You want to monitor what kids are saying on social media, using their own devices, at home? I think you might find some opposition to that.

Does anyone know of a company who will collect old kit for free?
Techie-v2 replied to L3OUGH's topic in Green Computing
We have used PRM Green Tech a few times Really effeciant although sometimes have turned up with not enough vans for the load even though we told them how much there is, bur they came back again and took the rest. They have taken everything we've wanted for free and even given a few free mugs! -
Obvious questions like are your boot images deployed to the distribution point? Do you have options 66 and 67 set in dhcp, are they still pointing at your 2007 server? Have you enabled unknown computer support on the dustribution point under the pxe tab?

Yeah that works Thanks!

Installed today, looks great and works well. One suggestion I do have, we have quite a long list of printers so when installing a toner, we have to scroll back to the top after clicking on a printer lower in the list so would it be possible to either automatically jump back to the top of the page or have the available toners appear next to the printer you have selected.

Seen this on many a pc but swsppung the mobo out usually sorts it. In the mean time could you get an emergency power kill button fitted to the ring main of the room in question like in science and tech labs, knock it off at the end of the day and back on in the morning. That way at least you wouldnt have to knock off each individual psu on the machines

But you have a backup if course so its only an inconvineance IF it fails, not a disaster. You should get a 3 or 5 year warranty on the drive just like traditional HDD so I dont really see an issue
-
With an SSD you should only get "works or doesnt work"
-
Have you had a look at the application and system logs on the client machine, might be some clues there logged by the user profile service
-
Did you open up a mmc window and add the group policy management snap in?
