HP (Switches, Printers, Servers), Sun (Servers, Storage), IBM (High End Servers) Lets extend my technology scope. I dislike Intel and the way the company behaves, their pricing and general anti-competitive behaviour. I do love AMD, always have, bargain priced, awesome Processors, could not fault them. AMD X-2 6400BE was superb, out benched the majority of C2D, apart from the expensive extreme ones. Whos going to pay £600 when a £140 processor is marginally worse. AMD Phenom II 955 BE is now my all time favourite, never mind the Q6600 or the i7's you couldn't fault a true quad core. AMD have always lead with innovation, smaller budgets, less research budgets however they still come up with ingenious systems. Same can be said for ATI Graphics cards, always the underdog vs Nvidia, always bringing a smile to the masses. ATI being owned by AMD is a sure good thing, the two companies fit like a glove, and lets not forget the AMD chipset. 790FX is outstanding compared to the majority of other chipsets. And then we have AMD's clever thinking in action, the "Spider" system, running AMD processors, AMD chipsets and AMD Graphics, the three components are designed to work together at peak performance.

Last nights Traffic Cops on BBC1 highlighted two points: 1) Police are not allowed to chase people on motorbikes if they fail to stop. 2) Police are no longer allow to chase people in cars when the driver is suspected as being young. With most of them, you need to install the WM and any other associated configuration tools like Fluxbox Menu Config and the such (Which will scan the system and compile a menu based on what's installed and configured into categories)

They haven't fully adjusted to teacher mentality yet TA's are always wonderful, bubbly people, bit carefree and a good laugh, when they aren't TA's any more and amalgamate into the machine, they slowly slip off the scale year after year. Are you being pretentious again? Have you run any of the above in development environments, have you actually tried anything, or yet again, just adding your own crap to a post (As I've noticed you've been doing around the site) A stripped OS, Ubuntu Core, E16, E17, Flux and the such use such a small memory print, it will in itself allow applications to tap into more freed memory. Linux is designed to run on anything, at any spec. I've had Ubuntu running on PIII's and 256MB Ram and performing two-fold over Windows XP on the same machine. You need to research more before blurting utter nonsense!

That with all daemons, services running as default? Half the majority of daemons/services don't need to be installed, added the fact there are other Window Managers with tiny footprints, Fluxbox, Blackbox, E16, E17 (enlightenment) and various other ones, Sugar for example. Ubuntu base install, what's not needed stripped, all locked down, running a smaller footprint WM will have better performance over XP on most days

Changed the original DH to CH, the information would show as: CH RHHNIN 5028591000402 Name 1796525 081029 081030 0000 1201 5028591000402 Would like to replace RHHNIN with a full name, depending on what I set as its replacement word, and RHHNO as something else for example. The date is there, its just hidden-ish, the date is always start position 130 on the CH line. In the above example this would be 30th October 2008 as 081030
