From external contractors who resolve major issues: It simply won't work unless you use a bought SSL Cert, the server made ones will not be accepted. At least the problem is resolved! (At a cost mind you)

We got 14 of these lovely new phones for the SMT team, and a few for PE as they need remote registration access for ePortal. We got them for their function to Sync their own mailboxes on the fly, rather than our older Blackberry - o2.co.uk forwarding service, however its not working. We had the supplier have a look at the setup. (Outlook account setup correctly, require SSL ticked, account username/password/domain correct) however whenever I try and sync my phone, it starts the process and than fails, spitting out a 0x style code, which when googled relates to SSL problems. So I rechecked settings, server setup etc and it should all be working. I also tried exporting the certificate to the phone and installing it locally on WM6, however no such luck. Anyone else had any problems or any ideas where too look now regarding these errors?

Easy. Check your squid.conf, find the cache effective user. Write the user down. Than run: ls -al /var/run/samba/winbindd_privileged it should list root root on the pipe. chown root:proxy /var/run/samba/winbindd_priveleged/ Would be easier to modify the winbind startup script, and force the change of user, otherwise every reboot, you need to re chown.

How is a Clerk going to get authorization to act on his behalf, let alone his own mother or brother, this isn't about payment, this is about a fraud is it not?

Necro record breaker.... The last reply was two years ago, I highly doubt the context is still active.

Does the 64 server run ok without NOD32 on it? You could always call them up and ask whats going on, it is a server after all and needs to be protected at all costs.

Isn't there a current open bug report related to ESET NOD32 and Server 2008. IIRC, I'm pretty sure there is a problem between the both of them.

NOES!! It's this easy: Backup 2003 DHCP> Install 2008 DHCP> Restore Backup > Stop 2003 service > Start 2008 Service. Job done, its never been easier, and that's somewhere on Microsoft's KB

As far as I'm aware you can't as this happened to us a few weeks back. Four of us with Domain Admin accounts, 3 of which would never do it, as we wouldn't and we trust that fact and 1 that said it wasn't her, but it __HAD__ to be. Wasn't that bad apart from the fact Serco and ePortal died, and wouldn't revive. Took around 2 days with support from Serco to get it all going again. (Apparently if you change the OU's as registered in its configuration it won't start properly)

Googling naughty things?

Same difference really, sessions is just a GUI to the init.d and rc.d libraries

Dear god no. Don't just jump into the site and try to change it, it runs perfectly fine, dos_box and the other mods have a good model for user viewing. Tough luck if students are viewing, there's not alot they can do. Not forgetting, majority of viewers are googlers with no accounts. Don't like the mechanism, don't complain. EDIT: Don't make this an elitist contest, because your a NM, and want everyone to know that, there's no difference on these forums between the roles, we all come here for the same reason. If the site ever became elitist like that, I'd surely leave. I don't care about your position in a school, or the fact you want to show it off. Were all on equal grounds on this site

Our Music Tech suite all have external USB sound cards, stops interferences and the likes, and to be honest they do the job well.

Crossfire for ATI/AMD, SLI for Nvidia. Alot of boards only support either Crossfire or SLI, however new ones support both, PCI-express slots for Crossfire, SLI Ageia do the Physx cards, however Nvidia now own them, so the majority of the technology now sits in there x260 and x280 cards.

Check your XFCE folder for a .old or .bak or .conf.new file, if the package has been rebuilt than it's got nothing todo with corrupted files. Check settings are all correct.
