Does it support +write on NTFS mounts?

Morning all, Anyone use pre-logon wireless on their laptops? Our Intel ones seem to be fine, intel has its own tool to manage this, however we now have 4 x Toshiba A300's and albeit the driver is available, I can find no utility to start pre-logon wireless as these will be floating ART laptops. Is there a generic tool that can be used? (Much like the oodles of pre-logon VPN clients out there)(WPA2-PSK, as no radius setup) Its using the Realtek RTL8187B. Any ideas, thoughts would be greatly recieved.

The font on the photo's seems rasterized, where all the other text holds well, the text labelling the animals looks completely different to the rest.

Hi Guys, Anyone know how to block external (internal) access to a port on a *nix machine. Currently running a SQUID(NTLM)>DANSGUARDIAN>SQUID(CACHE) setup and its working beautifully, only problem. Changing ports allows skipping of both S1, and DG. NTLM running on 8080, DG running on 1355, CACHE running on 1356. I can change the port to 1356 and head straight onto the interweb, how do I only allow 127.0.0.1 to access port 1356? I found this code somewhere on the interweb, however it wasn't related to the topic. iptables -t nat -D PREROUTING -s ! 127.0.0.1/24 -p tcp --dport 1356 -j DROP Not quite sure, not sure on the /24 either. Any ideas?

We use Sysaid, its perfect. Helpdesk, System Inventory, Software Inventory, Built-in VNC, Monitoring, Reporting, Licensing etc etc, theres nothing that isn't included, bit pricy though, but well worth it.

They spent $2.7billion in 2007 alone on Data Centers, they mean business, serious business. Their main US datacenter is fed via hydro-power as its consumption completly drains its local grid.

.dat implies roaming, dat is freely modifiable, by any user. Renaming the file to .man locks the profile, no more changes nor more changes during login. I assume your slow login is a result of using the profile on different machines and the new machine settings, new application settings and the like are being copied back into the profile. Mandatory (.man) stops this, and it forces the load of settings, thus resulting in faster logins. Try a rename from .dat to .man and give it a go. (Unless of course you have every user with their own .dat)

Our users, with no profiles (Laptop users) generally take 10minutes to logon to domain machines other than their own personal laptops. I assume as a result of a profile needing setup. Likewise with students, any student takes an age during initial login, but subsequent users login perfectly fast. Perhaps Nethood, Printhood, Default User get setup with the new profile. 1st Student slow login > 2nd+ Student Fast > 1st Staff slow login > 2nd+ Staff Fast > 1st Student slow login (Student/Staff profiles are different for obvious reasons, less redirections) It seems to be profile driven, when a different profile is loaded it seems to reset.

Anyone got any useful guides for setting VPN up, or understanding it a bit more. Trying to setup VPN access on our Vigor 3300 router, but haven't the foggiest how it all works and what to use. It supports PPTP L2TP and IPSEC.
