  1. =left(A1,1) =right(A1,Len(A1)-1) Where A1 is the cell with room no in.
  2. Use the left() and right() formulae in the helper columns, then you don't have to retype anything.
  3. For the sake of openness/completeness, I just want to clarify that my last contact with them was four years ago; it may or may not be the case any more. My own reading is that with the new building, they want to get it right, so they're getting in an IT Development person to guide them from a fresh start with the new build.
  4. $UsersPath = $UsersPath -replace "hogwarts.com" "hogwarts" I think?
  5. I don't know anything of the current head; I'm indirectly acquainted with the former head outside school.
  6. Only time I've ever used BT Hotspots was on holiday about 5 years ago; had no phone signal where we were staying, but two houses at the end of the road had BT - so I drove down in the car and parked up for half an hour, several times during that fortnight! Worked fine, so Ive no problems sharing my 100mb VM wifi in return.
  7. I've just read the advert; certainly looks more positive than it did three years ago. Didn't realise it was the "Network Manager" job role renamed and with seemingly better control of their destiny. I've pinged an email to my friend to see if she's any insight to offer.
  8. Having said that, they are shortly going through a BSF-style change. Building a whole new school on the playing fields, then knocking old building down.
  9. Yes, I went there as student and live 5 minutes away. They appointed new Network Manager about 3 years ago - I obtained the pack but didn't apply as I was/am very happy where I am. I spoke to a friend who is on IT leadership there, who advised me that I'd be better not applying there. The person who would be my manager at the time does not see IT as being as important as we here might think. I don't know if staffing or mindset has changed since.
  10. I was going to ask this in a new thread last week. I've seen people on here who have keys to their schools, but there's others who don't. What's the norm?
  11. Spring 2016 Release isn't it?
  12. Just do most of it yourself then ring for support to finish off the bits that don't work. That's what I did last time. All the installers should be in C:\Cashless Installers or thereabouts. Use Add/Remove Programs to see what versions should be installed (there's often multiple versions of installer) and just replicate on new server. Copy whole of c:\Impact and c:\Biostore Database and you can't be too far wrong. Peter
  13. Certainly interested in seeing what you experience.
  14. We've been using Pro templates until today; I've only setup Enterprise today so we can put KMS into template.
  15. Slightly old thread, but for future reference we use PRTG which includes a syslog receiver, and is free for up to 100 nodes.
  16. I'm now confused! Just building two VMs using new Build Template for Win7 Enterprise, because it lets you put your KMS Client key into the build (we got problems with the Mac key not activating, so we're having to use VAMT to activate against our KMS) - and lo and behold at the end of the build it is installing 106 WSUS updates! I wonder if WSUS has stopped serving updates to non-activated PCs, either during the RM build, or at any time. Peter
  17. We're CC4.3 Matrix; not quite up to date with RM updates but I did look to see if any referred to WSUS. None showing at the moment.
  18. I'll see what happens. We're also struggling to get updates installed automatically at shutdown - we have to log in and select them in batches - which is possibly the same problem with numbers.
  19. Thanks Nick; that makes sense. I've requested the 32bit rollup WIM which should cut down the number and therefore time taken.
  20. My technicians are complaining that the build process is no longer applying WSUS updates at the end of the build; they've noticed it because when they go to shut down rebuilt PCs, they are prompting to update several/hundred updates. Looking in the BuildClient log, it successfully starts and finishes the 'Get critical updates' build action with zero updates. Does anyone know if a) this means it's getting (trying to get) critical WSUS updates, or something non-WSUS, and b) does your build process get all WSUS updates or just critical ones as part of the build? I haven't built a client PC since we got WSUS 18 months ago so I don't see/know what is normal and what isn't! Peter
  21. Main personal address that I've used for years and is 60% spam - only on desktop where local antispam software proxies everything very nicely. Recent account that I'm careful where it gets published - on phone. My close friends/family have the new address so I can receive important emails wherever I am.
  22. Ooh, that looks great! Details here: https://support.google.com/a/topic/6206681 (Sorry, didn't realise I'd missed the chunk of posts further up already explaining this!)
  23. I've got the 'Activate Online Services' link which is taking me to a login page; I've signed up for Office365 using the Teacher/Student links given above, and it's now letting me at the page with 'Start activation' for the three orders I've got pending - but the links take me to an Office365-styled page with an obscure coded error saying I haven't got permissions. Has anyone else had this?
  24. Rummy.
  25. Are you looking for historical (search / analysis) or 'who rang me recently / who did I dial recently'? The 5410 and 5420 phones we have store recent logs in them, accessible via the menu buttons. Unfortunately the 5402 ones don't.
