We also have two Evolis Primacy printers with mifare readers in them. Biggest problem we have with the Evolis is having both on one server as the mifare driver can't differentiate between devices - randomly during use we'll have to swap reader in the config otherwise it loads a card in printer 1, tries to read the card on printer 2, then spits it out on printer 1 saying it can't read the card. (They're also connected to a virtual server (vSphere) using a USB IP print server so that may be adding an issue into the mix) I don't know if that's any better on a physical server or any other brand of printer (with mifare readers in) but the physical printers themselves are fine.

All our monitors are HannsPree/HannsG and we're careful to check/specify that they are the models with built-in C13 (kettle lead) sockets rather than external power bricks. There were still plenty of options last time we bought, but agree it's an increasing issue.

Licensing - We have a site-wide license; i've added probably 20 radios since we bought it without having to touch the license. Analogue radios - I can't talk about these in walkie talkie terms but I can regards Radio Mics - we are licensed for some "shared" frequencies and some "assigned" frequencies. We live with the fact that someone may put on a performance in our car park using their own shared radio mics and potentially interrupt our show in the theatre, as the shared frequencies allow this. The assigned frequencies are assigned by physical location and nobody else is allowed to be assigned those frequencies in nearby proximity to our location. I don't know how analogue radios are allocated - shared or assigned. Digital - we can use ours up in the village as well as in school (and the area between) with no interference over 18 months from non-school users.

Just include the current year group field in the report, then have careers sort by that field and copy/paste down, so Year 7 end date is 2026 (or 2028 if you have sixth form) - no need to calculate it per-user from their email/adno.

Hi We have about 60 walkie talkies onsite and occasionally one gets mislaid - which is a big safeguarding issue. Does anyone use any trackers onsite for school property? A quick look at Airtags (we're an apple school with 1500 iPads and significant proportion of iPhones) that would be £1,800 but wondered if there were other options that schools have used? Peter

The attached SIMS report will pull out the relevant (hidden) fields for you or a colleague to look at, if it helps - i'm presuming Cunninghams are using the person_id field which is what it's designed for. Something smells fishy here though; SIMS won't change that ID throughout the life of a students' record so I'd be challenging Cunninghams on their processing of it if they reckon there's been a mixup. SIMS > Reports > Import > (expand ZIP) > Import. PersonIDs for Impact.zip

This is our config for port 1, with VLANs, pretty much as you described. MainLAN is the LAN (which although segmented, all can talk to this IP) The other VLANs are wifi VLANs. HTH.
