Me and my wife faced the same dilemma not too long ago @Dos_Box and in the end took advice from one of my customers, Nigel. You cannot get away from the old "use less water" addage unless you have a funky kettle that boils quick, and then keeps the water hot enough to go back for a second, third, or fourth pour. Ladies & Gents I present to you the Vektra Electric Vacuum Kettle. It's basically a kettle thermos. Not cheap, but me and she figured out we were spending £30-40 a year boiling the kettle alone so if we have it for 2 years it'll give us a payback. He he! I did. I ordered a book for the Wife for christmas 3 weeks ago, and clicked Amazon Prime free next day delivery, not realising it meant "ps - we'll charge you £75 in 3 weeks without telling you".

I just checked my bank account today, and discovered a £75 debit to Amazon Prime. Little bit miffed. Contacted Amazon and my Bank to get my money back. I've never used, never clicked on it, and am not sure I really ever will, or even why I was billed!
