Whatever you go for @Phildw it'd be worth checking out the Punnet Guava guava It's a cool device that you dock the cameras into at the end of a lesson and it imports the pictures into class sets etc, wipes them and then charges the camera ready for the next class. It was designed and built by a school network management team to solve problems their teachers were having.

Hi @sloughman check this link out; Intel Core i3 4005U vs 3120M IMO the U series processors are designed to offer better power consumption at the expense of some computing performance. The M series you're comparing it against is an older 3rd generation chip, so maybe think about checking in on the pentium dual core 3550M or i3-4100M / 4110M if you want low price and performance over say a 3-5 year replacement cycle on your laptops. 8.1. It has your familiar Windows 7 shell accessed via the start menu and it's quicker, and more energy efficient which makes sense for a laptop. Also most tier 1s don't like providing driver sets for Windows 7 on their new shiny's.

This is interesting. Microsoft won't be updating Windows 8.1, favouring development of their next great O/S. I personally witness customers taking Windows 7 or downgrading Windows 8 to 7 daily, but my experience of Windows 8.1 has been positive.
