Yes I have checked this and it is running.

Really strange problem here. A computer is not sending documents to the printer - (any printer). Even when sending a test page, it's not going. No pop up in the corner to say it was even sent which leads me to believe it's not actually leaving the computer. The printer is mapping and is working for other computers. This seems to be computer, not user, as I've tried multiple accounts. (Although it works from the admin account...). However, occasionally it is printing - this seems to be the first print from what I can tell, but haven't testing this theory completely yet. I was about to give up and reinstall the machine, when someone else has just reported what appears to be the same problem. Has anyone seen anything like this before? Have been looking online but can't seem to find anything. Thanks.

The Supremes - if this is music for a desert island, then we need something to sing to!

Well it arrived! I am so excited! I can't believe how good it is! I ordered the New Roku Streaming Stick and I can't believe how easy it was to connect to Plex. I literally just added the Plex channel and opened it and it found it automatically! Thank you all so much for the advice, I am super duper happy with it!

Yes the measurements could be off I guess but I don't think they are. It's this fan; Intel c91997 001 f09e 1291s1 9038 9cm 4 line 12v 0.88a cooling fan-inFans & Cooling from Electronics on Aliexpress.com (not a supplier I've ever used and I don't think it's one our accounts department would 'ok').

82mm square by 38mm deep. Or does anyone know where I can get one? Can't seem to find any...! I just need one to replace one which has failed.

This is truly awful - thoughts with her family and friends. You're right, she sounds like she was well liked. RIP xx

Thanks Sparkeh - you know I will! :-D

Ok! Ordered the Roku Streaming stick :-) Can't wait!

Ah - but I guess that's an option on PC though - but then would be back at square one sitting at my PC to watch Netflix again! Just looking at the Roku's - apparantly Roku 1 doesn't have 4OD? Is there anywhere to see a list of what it has to offer? Can't seem to find it anywhere - I do like 4OD but I can get that on TV if necessary but it'd be nice to have all in one place.
-
Yeah I heard that you can do that but it sounds complicated?
-
I love Modern Family - I know it's so frustrating when not the whole show is on there :-( I know it's down to licensing etc but I see what they have on Netflix USA (NCIS! I want to have NCIS on our Netflix) but I guess the grass is always greener. They just lost LOADS of channel 4 things though - IT Crowd included :-(
-
oh yeah - not entirely sure what the point of that is? If you can navigate on the Roku? I suppose if you'd been watching something you could send it, but only takes a few minutes to look it up I reckon? oo I'm so excited! Can watch the rest of Ugly Betty on the TV! (Well the rest of season 2 - Netflix don't have 3 and 4 :-( )

"Cast to TV direct from the Netflix and YouTube apps" Is this important? It is only on the Roku stick and Roku 3.

Well done! How exciting for you! I love working in education, the kids are fab, most of the staff are too and the day is so varied that the time flies by. I have found myself working late quite often without realising the time because I've been enjoying my work so much, whereas in my previous job I would be clock watching. Welcome to the forum and good luck!

ooo! I looked at Chromecast but it said it had to just literally stream through an iPad or phone or something? So I thought I would be sitting there on charge to save battery then just displaying it on the screen? Or have I totally misunderstood? I didn't realise it works with Plex though - you anyone recommend it over the Roku?
-
One more question - which Roku should I get? There are 4 options...
-
Thanks everyone - I will have a look at the Plex and Roku I think. Do my files need to be in a particular format to play?

So I have a variety of dilms etc on a variety of devices about my home and I am tired of having to watching things in certain places, or copying them about etc. Hoping someone can offer good advise on connecting everything up. We have 2 Windows 7 PC's, a Vista Laptop, iPad, Smart TV, Sky router and couple of external hard-drives. I finally got around to connecting the TV to the router last week only to discover it isn't that 'smart' - it's a Sony TV, about 3 years old and doesn't have Netflix as one of it's apps (which is the reason I connected it) and apparently Sony don't offer any way to update them so it is what it is. I don't really know where to start with all of this but would particularly like to be able to watch films off my PC on the TV, along with things such as Netflix, without having to control via the PC. Please tell me it's simpler than it sounds? Haha, thanks!

Can't get less that 0.3 something seconds!

I thought the same, but according to the forum post which sent me to that link, if there is a problem, it will come back up. This just like, clears the error. But if there is something, it will do it again. Have I been told wrong??
-
Yeah have done all of that. I have just done the first option on here; Check Disk - Reset - Windows 7 Help Forums and it hasn't come back up, so perhaps it was an error which had just stuck. Fingers crossed because I have a pile of computers to get through!!!

I think the Chrome cast is essentially the same thing? They are about £30 retail so will be cheaper in schools. Unless there was something specific about linking to itunes or something?
