Ah - no they're not unfortunately - they've got the same subnet mask which just means both networks are limited to approx 254 addresses. They are on their own separate subnets As I don't know of an easy method of doing what you want I'll leave it to the big boys to help you out. Si

Are you sure? e.g can you ping the curric printer from an admin pc? If so, no trust needed, just set up the photocopier as a printer on the admin server and your in business Si

Just in case it comes up again - if your within same LEA, you should just be able to claim extra hours and have it charged to the other schools cost centre. I do this in Lancs and just tell them I'll be charging 10-15 hours and what my approx cost is /hour (wages+20% for pensions etc) This way all tax issues are sorted regards Simon

I've been asked by a KS1 teacher if there's any piece of software to copy the Red/Amber/Green traffic light type sound level monitors. She wants a "Stay on Top" type large icon that can be on the screen during lessons and change accordingly to picked up sound level from a microphone. JFI - I just found another "real" use for an Ipad - I needed for pupils to narrate the video of their trip to the fire station. I tried last week using Win XP Movie Maker but the result was hard work and took a lot of effort. I used the Ipad IMovie this week and its so easy to use (once I'd imported the videos) that I just let the Y2 pupils press the buttons themselves - it might even be easy enough to let the Y2 teacher try it next time If they'd used the Ipad itself as the camera, then the whole process would have been trivial. Si PS Don't get me wrong - getting external video into the pad was a nightmare (Eventually did it by syncing "photos" and including videos from a folder ??????) If anyone has an easy way to get them in, please let me know

What I'm looking (I think anyway) is some sort of non-linear relationship between "real" height of rocket and Scratch y screen units so that as the rocket gets higher it doesn't appear to move as much on the screen. ..simulation I'm writing a rocket simulator in Scratch and want the rocket to appear to take off and reach orbit but I need some non-linear function to translate the real distances 0 - 1000000 metres to -170 to 50 (these are Scratch Screen units) I'm looking for a function that will approach a limit on screen of y=50 when real height is 1000000 but if the rocketeer makes a bigger orbit - I need the function to stop the image disappear off the top of screen My maths mojo has deserted me! help please Si

I use a simple Google Calendar in 4 of my schools (I'm presuming that there will be either a nice IOS app for it or the mobile site will looks OK on an IDevice ). Very easy to setup and use. Simon

I use it in all my schools But of course, I use it simply as in all users startup batch file. This means I don't have to worry about the software install being silent which makes life a lot easier. Simon
