I haven't played with anything (as I assume all the "solutions" do what people say) But, all have their drawbacks. Only 1 actual S2 owner (teejay) has answered and they say its loud enough for them. I'm going to see if I can use audacity to do a comparative test between devices. Si

I've used the splashtop app. BUT, i found it very fiiddly (and I'm a geek with a positive attitude to doing this) and inaccurate (due to finger being the equivalent size of using a rounders bat on a smartboard) I'd get hold of some capacitive pens and see how they works out. Years ago when remote slates came out (Activeslate etc) - some teachers could really really use them to good effect (They had pens) but others couldn't cope with them at all so we moved to just using Smartboards (which anyone can use) but I still have one teacher who wouldn't be without her slate. They'll all run well - they just won't do what the next model does which is the same as practically every other consumer device - CAR - TV - DVD - WASHING MACHINE etc Its your expectation that is faulty - not the Android ecosystem Its very nice that MS and Apple update their systems forever (but maybe they actually don't ) but each of the Smartphone families have their advantages and disadvantages and its nice to see someone championing the minow (WM7 ) Si

Let me put the case for the defence If I buy a toaster, I don't expect it to be updated when Tefal builds their next model and adds another element to the design. Or my car engine mapping to be adjusted after 2 years etc etc If I buy a phone, I look to see what it does at the time I buy it. If the device has a fault, I'd expect a manufacturer to provide a fix - that's all. And sometimes, its better to stick with what you've got - my daughter had a 3G or a 3GS (can't remember) but she updated it to the 1st multi-tasking IOS and it ran like treacle so she went back. I havn't bought my S2 to run Ice Cream Sandwich - I've bought it to run Gingerbread Si

OK - switched from HTC Desire to Galaxy S2 - sad to leave the Desire behind as its been good to me but time to move on. Got confused by my sdcard being mounted as /sdcard/sdcard but then read that Mr Samsung had kindly given me 11GB internally so very happy with that Very nice to look at (I got the girly white one) I've added my gmail account and downloaded UNPNP and Rockplayer so all set to watch Series 4 of Big Bang Theory in bed tonight. But plugged it into my XP PC and the PC wanted something called CDC Serial driver - downloaded Kies (whatever that is) which then seemed to install about 1TB of guff - do I need this or can I remove it? I've had my HTC Desire for 18 months (on a 24 month contract) but was itching to get an Galaxy S2 I had a bit of a brainwave and put some numbers into a spreadsheet and then went to the CFO (the wife) for approval and she said yes So for the old(er) geeks in the same position - this is what I argued. 1. In hindsight - I should have gone for the 18 month contract (£5 month more) 2. If I had, I would have had to fork out an extra £90 by now. 3. To cancel my old contract now costs £200. 4. But If I sell my old phone for £100, it will only cost £100. 5. But since I should have paid another £90 anyway - then the real cost of the change is £10 Voila Si
