    35 !!

Its bad enough with a TV remote in my house let alone a weather remote!
  2. I dont think resellers can supply the RT can they? If they can it certainly wont be at the same price as Microsofts little education direct closing down sale offer....

Loving it, loving it, loving it. Even if it does make me all sweaty when I put my leathers on. Ice, Cider, Ploughmans and also have my feet in the kids 800 litre paddling pool. Wouldnt trade this for all the sweets in the world.
  4. We tried that and got short shrift from everyone. They seem quite happy to come in with the device and demo it but are less keen to leave one on site. We even tried a buy and then return type thing but that got us nowhere too. Let us know how you get on though.
  5. Taking everything into account - Cost, ease of use, support, spare parts....my three quotes would go to; HP IBM VeryPC Get a quote for all of them, get bid pricing from all of them. Dell can jump off a cliff as far as I am concerned. Terrible service, unreliable products and just a general all round crud attitude.
  6. Its a BBC LONDON story about an abandoned kitten on a LONDON tube train. Its not something that happens everyday so in this case BBC news + 1, OP -1
  7. @edutech4schools Cook - What if they are an external company? External - not your problem, they are not on the schools staff.
  8. As long as they have their own username / password and work over 200 hrs..?
  9. Is it a PC or a till? Does she do over 200 hours a year?
  10. No you do not need to include dinner ladies regardless of if they are using a till with embedded sw or not.
  11. I seem to have lost my ability to quote?? Anyway. The blue green blue thing is because I think they are highlighting the envrionmentally friendlyness of Very - that seems to be the only green bit, the rest is corporate blue And yes the guy with his hand on hip possibly from Saturday Night Fever.....
  12. Linky working now for me.. Looks pretty slick and well presented. Covers everything that you offer in a non salesy way so a good job I think. Apart from the guy in the tie and shirt on the cover who seems to be thrusting his pelvic region?
  13. Sounds dodgy. Potentially they could be using a system builders activation key which they could be perfectly entitled to do but they dont stop working after 5/6 installs. MS will allow you to use the same activation key several times with an OEM licence but thats supposed to on the same machine. Sounds very much like the person you dealt with has monumentally screwed up and doesnt want to return 60 laptops. You need to get on the phone to them and demand that they either send you 60 Windows 7 OEM licences or you will be sending them all back as they have misled you. What is the product code / model number of the laptops you have purhcased?
  14. Burgers are rubbish. Sausages are the best.
  15. Very true but you are still preconceiving what that child is likely to behave like from their name, which is what the silly moo on that video was trying to get at but doing it all wrong.
  16. I may come in for some critisicm here, I do kind of agree in some degree to what she was saying. Can you honestly say that when you have heard a childs name in school that you havent raised an eyebrow, rolled your eyes or thought 'I bet he/she is a little darling' ?
  17. nope
  18. No good, he is currently face down on his keyboard fast asleep.
  19. I am still astounded by just how many cabinet staff are complete clueless morons without any kind of backgound in the areas that are given complete responsibility for!
  20. I dont this is correct. A consumer is a private individual. Business to Business would be a reseller to a school. The manufactureres often place strict trading restrictions on companies when it comes to repair/replacement. Its different to consumer rights and most retail stores will bend over backwards to stop a customer moaning and complaining.
  21. You need bigger trousers...or a man bag. I could *just* about get the Galaxy into the front pocket of my jeans.....
  22. I had that years ago with the original Samsung Galaxy Tab. I either put the phone on speaker if no one was around or if I was at home, or I used headphones, it wasnt really that big a deal. Trouble was, out and about anywhere carrying it could sometimes be a pain if I didnt have cargo type trousers or a big coat. I think the Galaxy Note is probably a better solution...
  23. So surely a PC with a decent small SSD to boot from and decent cooling matched up to your big HD TV with wireless kbrd/mouse is the better option in terms of all round game/surfing/entertainment/game longevity??
  24. No they dont. You cannot return something under law just because you dont like it. Some stores will do it out of 'customer service' but they are not obliged to.
  25. It may be more to do with the beligerant bad mood I am in today. Where is the morality in illegally obtaining a product to use and then if you like it, you might reward the person who created that product?
