  1. Then I'll try and remember to count them next time.
  2. I didn't know this clapping the NHS was even a thing. Heard some fireworks going off around 8, so that was probably why. I thought it was just scally kids. While I was walking to the shop earlier today, I noticed quite a few kids had drawn pictures of rainbows and stuck them in their windows. Is this a thing, too?
  3. Thank goodness! When I saw Trent Reznor flash past on the Latest Threads bar, I thought he’d died!
  4. Oh, I can give you a whole slew of those! Panic (buying) Hand in (latex) glove You just haven’t caught it yet, baby Please, please, please let me get what I want (before you clear the shelves) Back to the old house (and stay there) ...and many, many more (Perhaps it’s a good time for the return of my old Smiths covers band, named after another song, ‘Still Ill’!)
  5. Hmmmm, I wonder which ran out first...
  6. It would make more sense if teachers' kids went to the same school with their parents for the duration, rather than doubling the social contact through two schools.
  7. From the BBC New feed: That could mean anything!
  8. The suspension of TV Dramas gave me a great platform for a couple of quick-fire zingers with our dinner ladi.... sorry... welfare staff. Welfare1: They're stopping all the TV Dramas. No Holby, no Casualty... Welfare2: Why??? Me: Because they need all the extra doctors and nurses on the frontline. Welfare: Hahahahahahahaha Welfare3:They're taking all the soaps off, too. Welfare4: I only ever watch Home and Away. Me: From now on, that's just going to be called 'Home'. Welfare: Hahahahahahahaha On FIY-YERRRR
  9. Pupil attendance appears to be dropping by the day (no actual figures - just going on empty seats in classrooms) but only two members of staff out of ~40 have chosen to stay home; both have serious underlying conditions making them particularly vulnerable. The Year 6 residential visit to the Lake District planned for the end of May has been cancelled. I'm really gutted for the kids. It's the big highlight of their time here and they've all been looking forward to it since they joined us in Year 3. On a positive note, a parent - who works for the NHS - came into school this morning and asked the deputy to pass on a message of thanks to all staff for everything they are doing to keep the school open and look after the children.
  10. Did you pay by credit card, by any chance? If so, you may be able to claim that way.
  11. I would...but they've all sold out at Sainsbury's!
  12. I've had an email from the Berliner Philharmoniker saying that the concert hall will be closed until 19th April, but the concert planned to be performed yesterday went ahead without an audience and was streamed online for free via their Digital Concert Hall, with further performances today and tomorrow. I wonder what will happen with upcoming concerts at the Liverpool Phil. Generally, the demographic of attendees tends to be mostly in the 'senior' category.
  13. Is nobody else going to have a guess at my riddle? After all my hard work 'nall? (Typing in his best Roy Walker accent) Say what you see. Three books...all called 'Tim'...there's an arrow pointing at one of them... 'Stuck in the middle with (Mc)Hugh?' It's good but it's not right. Not book one or book three... (Sorry - this is my way of participating without having the time to create any more pictures!)
  14. Time for a Timmy Riddle: Riddle-me-roo with Tim McHugh, on his way to...
  15. Apologies @ICTDirect_Tim I'm sure you're nice... but not dim.
  16. On the topic of Scouse jokes, my mate showed me this in the pub last night. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mfdnB4pOGWI
  17. My favourite joke (although it's better when spoken): A man walks into a shop and asks, 'Do you have any helicopter-flavoured crisps?' The shopkeeper replies, 'Sorry, we only have plain.'
  18. Daddy Owl is teaching Baby Owl how to play pool. Daddy Owl: Using the cue, you got to try to make the white ball knock another ball into one of the pockets. Baby Owl: What happens if I miss? Daddy Owl: Then it's two hits. Baby Owl: Two hits to who?
  19. That's just taking the Mickey!
