We have angled intakes, but I fear the angle isn't acute enough to prevent ingestion of particles. I did suggest some ducting to take air from next to the side of the building - it's one of the solutions on the list. Unfortunately the filters are internal and so can't be upsized - they need to fit in the cavity.

Yep, it's a weird one! Nothing to do with IT, but I though perhaps someone might have some useful knowledge to help our Facilities team. We have a large number of air handling units on our roof (fancy new building, all air managed, etc.). Unfortunately we're right under one of the Heathrow landing flightpaths, and so their filters get dirty very quickly with aircraft exhaust particulate and unburnt fuel. Apart from just changing the filters more regularly (which we are doing), is there anything we could put around them or on their intakes to limit the particulate load? Has any other school in a similar situation solved this problem and would be willing to explain?

You can get MICR toners for various printers. In a previous school we used an HP 1022 (small, reliable, cheap to run).

Would happily lend a brain (what little I have!) to this worthwhile effort. I have responsibility for day-to-day data protection at my school (we have an outsourced DPO company as well), and full responsibility for information security as you'd expect.

Just a comment re: O365 phishing filtering. I like the 365/Exchange model because I can write whatever rules I want to (see the Phishing Emails/Regex thread for examples). The in-built protection works some of the time, but I agree it could be better. I imagine Google have better heuristic detection because they have a vast dataset from consumer Gmail to work with.

If you're interested, I got bored and so wrote a little web tool that does this. You can feed it a "central" postcode and a bunch of ones to test against. It even dumps the output in CSV format if you want for easy copy-paste to Excel. http://serenity.uk.net:8080/postcodes

Procmon is a good option. LUA Buglight is specifically designed to find out why programs don't run properly (LUA = "Limited User Account"), and will probably get you to a solution a little faster.
