I wouldn't block right clicking or the command prompt. Students wouldn't be able to do anything via those routes that they wouldn't otherwise - if things are locked down (i.e. NTFS permissions, FSRM policies, etc.) properly then there's no need.

That article doesn't hold up at all in my opinion. It claims that "numerous studies" support their claim of a link between electromagnetic radiation (EMR) and negative health outcomes, but the only study they actually link to is this one (more on that in a moment). They mention a US study showing a link between EMR and cancer in rats, but helpfully don't provide a link or even a title so we can't check it! Now, the linked study by one Martin Pall PhD. It claims that Wi-Fi and other EMR interacts with voltage-gated calcium channels (VGCC) rather than the usually-tested thermal effects (by this assertion Pall is essentially able to 'throw out' most of the research done previously as 'irrelevant', as to his mind it's not investigating the proper method of action). The only other studies that relate directly to EMR and VGCC were done by... Martin Pall. And only Martin Pall, he didn't even appear to have any co-authors. He cites other general studies on the effect of EMR on in vitro cells and animal models, but nothing directly connecting VGCC and EMR exposure. He also doesn't appear to have done any actual studies himself, he's just picking results from other studies that might support his conclusions. In short - his work hasn't been replicated in even one other case, and he's not even tried to do a basic level of research himself. One final thing, for me the final nail in the coffin for this rubbish. Martin Pall claims that EMR is the major cause of autism - again through VGCC. He's connected to AutismOne, an organisation which solely exists to push pseudoscience about autism (more on that here). Oh, he also claims that 5G will bring about the end of the world. Multiple systematic reviews, including one by the WHO have found insufficient evidence of any link between EMR and health issues. More long-term studies are always needed, but if the World Health Organisation isn't worried and neither are scientists working in the field, that's good enough for me.

I'd use some PowerShell scripting to do this. Get SLT to give you a list of staff and their appraiser. Put that info into AD (use the "manager" attribute perhaps?), then script the permissions based on that.

Are you running SIMS as a RemoteApp, or just via RDP/Web RDP? SIMS runs just fine on our RDS server (web RDP). I know that if you're packaging SIMS as a RemoteApp you have to package Pulsar.exe, not SIMSLoad.exe

I used PowerShell for this for someone once - I created a script using the Set-MailboxAutoReplyConfiguration cmdlet and just had it scheduled to run on my "automation controller" server (that handles all sorts of automated tasks). Obviously if they changed their working pattern I'd have had to update the script, but that never happened.

If you're not already on Update 4, then yeah you'll need the ISO. Helpfully, Veeam B&R doesn't tell you whether you're on Update 4 or not - you have to work it out from the version number. The "missing updates" checker will also just tell you to download 4a, regardless of what you're running.

We have rules that phones should not be used in classrooms/around students, and of course never used to photograph students. You'd want it to be a bit larger than the intake to account for losses caused by turbulent flow, but yes, it does make sense. I've been tempted to make something like that and try it out for a month or so for comparison. Might need planning consent though - would need to check.
