This is a PowerPoint thing. By default it will present the PowerPoint in extended desktop. You can change the behaviour within the settings > options in PowerPoint

Try restarting the solus 3 service. That should get updates downloading again.

ActivPanel 65 shaow over half the screen
danelliott87 replied to GillBates's topic in Promethean Direct Support
I’ve had the same issue with two screens though it was on the right hand side of the screen. For sure a backlight failure. Had to replace both screens as out of warranty -
You cannot ‘buy’ apps with a managed Apple ID. The user must use a personal Apple ID for the App Store

Does anyone know of a company who will collect old kit for free?
danelliott87 replied to L3OUGH's topic in Green Computing
PRM are good but keep in mind that you need A LOT of 'qualifying' equipment to get free collection -
No worries!

Can you not just block access to the chrome://settings url in the 'Block access to a list of urls' in chrome group policies? What I do here.

You using Meru wireless by any chance? It's an issue to do with authentication. Apple made a change in ios9 to make it more secure but doesn't work with Meru

Worth a try! But they refused on 2 occasions to collect items, but did manage to sweet talk them a few weeks ago to collect my stuff. A word of warning, they wont collect IWB's as they say they need to pay for them to be recycled.

+1 for PRM Greentech. Though you need quite a lot of 'qualifying' items for them to come and collect.

Software uninstall script not working from group policy
danelliott87 replied to danelliott87's topic in Windows 7
Thanks for the idea. I have tried the script and it does remove the prompt. Sadly though i won't be able to use the script as it doesn't completely remove the program. Still leaves most of it behind in the program files folder. Still cant work out why my other script wont run from startup or shutdown. Am i missing something? 1. Create GPO and navigate to computer config>policies>Windows settings>scripts (startup/shutdown) 2. Select either option and click Show files 3. Paste script into this folder 4. Click Add and select pasted script 5. Assign GPO to appropriate workstations- 12 replies

Software uninstall script not working from group policy
danelliott87 replied to danelliott87's topic in Windows 7
I did actually try this but the program was prompting to confirm uninstall. Wasn't sure if i could automate this response with a switch? Or modify the script somehow? This is the script i used for the above: if exist "c:\program files\RangerGuardian\securusn.exe" (MsiExec.exe /X{8484FCFD-39DC-4A55-B3AF-6792B5A6EB32})- 12 replies

Software uninstall script not working from group policy
danelliott87 replied to danelliott87's topic in Windows 7
It was my understanding scripts that run in startup or shutdown use elevated permissions anyway? This isn't Ranger for networks i should add, it's just a re-badged Securus (safeguarding software).- 12 replies

Hi everyone, hope someone can shed some light on an issue iv'e been having. I have created a script to uninstall a product called Ranger Guardian (Basically Securus) and the script works perfectly if I double click and run it. However, the script will not run/does not seem to work when I place it in group policy as a startup/shutdown script? The script is: wmic product where name="Ranger Guardian Client v5.00" call uninstall /nointeractive What am i missing?

It's more about that it's difficult backing up huge amount of data! Rather then space issues.

How about Weebly for Education? You can create an admin account and manage all the students websites from there as well as create users. -
Cdec are pretty good. Used them for years!

Wipe the ipads, and push out apps with Meraki. This was you can prevent users from deleting them. You can also remove the apps from the Meraki console if needed.
