Hi I am trying to install rds on server 2016 on a new server. This is connected to our domain but is not a dc. It keeps failing with the following. Remote Desktop Seervices role services: Failed: the activity has exceeded the specified maximum running time of 1800 seconds. Sessions collection. Cancelled RemoteApp programs. Cancelled. Does anybody have any ideas why this is failing? Thanks in advance

Hi Currently we have two separate domain one fro staff and one for students. We are going to create new account on our staff domain for student then delete the old students domain. When I setup the student ad sync it worked fine, however when I have tried to setup the new AD connect on the staff domain it looks like I am going to have to changed all the UPN because of a non-routable domain. I have a few questions if anybody can answer them: If I start to sync certain OU from AD to Office365 will the staff accounts that are active and manually created still be there? Is it possible to stop students email some of our existing groups in office365 (I dont want them email all staff group for example?) Any other restrictions we should stop students from doing in office365? Once the users are in the cloud I am going to setup Microsoft Sync to sims, anybody done this yet and have they used the free salamanda tool or just the Microsoft tool (I am not sure what salamanda gives you over the Microsoft School data sync?) Hi All Just to let you know that we have isolated the problem down to the Bluetooth pen. When Bluetooth is switched off the connection is stable and does not drop. Do you think this is a Microsoft problem? Thanks

Thank you for all the comments and suggestion. I can confirm that the Microsoft surface is up to date and the wireless dongle firmware is at the latest level. I will have a play with the diffrent configurations as suggested but currently looking into a software solution. Thanks again

Hi We have purchased a Microsoft wireless display adapter and are having issues with it disconnecting. I think this is down to using a proxy server and its not supported. Hi We are experiencing an issue with our sims server, we are running the latest release, on the client machines and on the server when trying to save a record or edit sims crashes and says not responding. If we restart the server it will work then randomly it will just crash again. The virtual server has 16GB of ram and 13GB dedicated to SQL server 2012. If I am correct this just gives the server 3GB? Does anybody have any suggestions or experienced any issues like the above. This has been happening over the holidays with 5 users max.

Hi Can anyone point me in the right direction to deploy java for i.e. 11. We have manually installed java and tested it. It seems to work ok for us however when the students logon, java seems to be disabled? Thanks in advance

Hi We have recently blocked all USB devices and only allowed encrypted devices on the network. I am looking to setup a VPN solutions so staff can access sims and other applications at home over a secure connection. Please can anyone advise on a secure solution? Thanks
