I suppose that is true! I'm not sure where to even sell old hardware, eBay the best bet i'm guessing. I'll have to see how much they're going for... Anywhere else you recommend selling second hand hardware? or places to avoid for that matter?

I do like the MSI Twin Frozr V linked above and its not mega expensive either! Look what you've done, started with RAM ending with GPU upgrades!!

Well I don't have any 4k monitors so I'm not really worried about 4k... what about this for a 970? EVGA GTX 970 FTW ACX 2.0 4GB GDDR5 Dual DVI HDMI DisplayPort PCI-E Graphics Card - Ebuyer They do a 970 SSC and a 970 FTW editions..? Any idea what the difference is!? Been thinking of selling my X1 and that would fund my GPU fund!

Maybe it'll be an upgrade to a GTX960/970 instead of RAM then as people seem to think I have plenty for a gaming rig

Latest generation GPU's are expensive though! £200 for a GTX960! Although it would double my GRAM Maybe a GPU would be better as next upgrade. I'm not experiencing any bottlenecks just trying to future proof! Thanks for all the responses!

Thanks all, I was kind of thinking upgrade just because I can/future proof. I wanted the system with 16GB when I ordered it just over a year ago but ended up with 8GB as didn't specify I wanted to change to 16GB in time. GPU wise I'm running a GTX760 so I think I'm okay for a while on that front.

Hi all, Looking to upgrade my RAM in my home gaming rig as RAM prices seem pretty cheap at the minute! Currently got Corsair PC3-12800Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) @1600Mhz running in an ASUS Z87-K MOBO. Looking to go to 16GB, it would have to be a 2x8GB due to the size of my CPU cooler blocking off a slot xD Anyone got any suggestions on brand, speeds etc? Been so long since I looked at half decent performance RAM! Link your suggestions for me guys + gals! Liam

Hi We enabled Yammer for testing to see if we'd like to use it in school, ultimately we decided against it. Now we want to get rid of the Yammer tile from the O365 nav bar. I have made sure that Yammer/Newsfeed is set to 'Hide' under SharePoint settings, also I've made sure that we have switched back to 'Use SharePoint Newsfeed' under Enterprise social collaboration. Does anyone know how we can get rid of the tile for everyone? Or disable/leave the Yammer network all together? The settings above is how we had it set before enabling Yammer and the Newsfeed + Yammer tiles were hidden! Thanks

Hi, Have any of you guys done this before? We have setup a presentation account that staff/external people can use when doing assemblies and training sessions in the halls and open spaces around school. We were hoping to put something in place that copies any attachments sent to the presentation accounts mailbox and copies them to a network location i.e. \\fileserver\userdrives\presentationaccount\files Is it possible to achieve this with powershell? Hi all, We are in the process of migrating to O365, when we first set up DirSync we left the 'sync all directories now' check box ticked. Obviously that synced the whole of AD. We have now realised that using DirSync OU filtering will be a better way of doing things as a lot of old/unused accounts have been pulled up to the cloud and they won't be using O365. These unwanted accounts also have valid licenses assigned to them. So my question is now I've set up the OU filtering within DirSync, whats going to happen to all the unwanted/no longer synced accounts that are already in the cloud when the next sync runs? Or more importantly what happens to the licenses? Will the accounts be deleted/removed from the cloud and the licenses revoked and given back to the license pool? Thanks Liam

I'm thinking a tablet with the Kindle app maybe a better route to go down. As @hardtailstar mentioned it can be used for a variety of different things too. Next question... Which tablet

Went to watch 'Focus' last night, Will Smith and Morgot Robbie's new one... Hadn't heard the best of things about it but the trailer looked good and at £3.40 a ticket at the cinema I go to, why not! FYI - I did really enjoy it.

Hi all, Need some help..! The head at one of my primary schools got a report back from County yesterday saying that one of the visually challenged students needs a 'device' that allows them to 'big up' the font when reading etc. They recommended a Kindle. The head has now read this and got her head set on getting one. I have no experience of Kindles in school, never heard or know of anyone that's deployed Kindles in a school.. Has anyone here deployed any Kindles in the school environment or got any experience with them?? I'd like to centrally manage the Kindle(s) with an MDM or similar. After a quick Google Amazon have their own management called 'Whispercast' but only available in the US. Also, how/what do you do in terms of buying books? Does your school have their own procurement card that's linked to an Amazon account?? Any help would be appreciated as I literally have NO experience with Kindles. Ta Liam

Hi all, We are using DIRSync to sync our AD to MS Azure, this went through successfully. All staff can log into the Office 365 Portal fine, however when they open locally installed Office suite it automatically logs the user in with their domain ([email protected]) account not the 365 account. If they were to hit 'Switch Account' and enter their 365 email and password then it goes through and remembers it fine. But as with everything, it will be so much easier if we can streamline it. Is there anyway to get office to automatically sign in with the 365 account instead of the domain account without using federation services..?

I don't think any console is. I had a PS4 and I'd be lucky to get a 7mb connection when running at 40mb on the PC. Switched over to the XBone the other week and it's slightly better but nothing impressive.

If I could walk into Game with the PS4 and games, trade it in and walk out with an X1, Horizon 2 and at least 6months Live i'd do it today... But because Game are robbing little *bleep* they'll probably offer me £150 for the console. And £12 a game. It's ridiculous tbh.
