No I don't live that lifestyle, staff find it funny that I'm not obsessed with the latest phone or tablet. IMO you don't need to have 'nice and shiney' to be a geek.

[pass] Boarding schools - which MIS do you use and would you recommend it?
E_G_R2 replied to bodminman's topic in MIS Systems
Hi, we use a plethora of MIS software SIMS for the main pupil data, Time Tabler for the time table (because its more flexible than SIMS), AIM High for reports and School Comms for communiucating with parents. For finance we still use WCBS but I don't know if that is because the Bursar fears change. Personaly I'd like to try and use SIMS for most of it but somehow feel that would be a loosing battle. -

Wonder how many schools will be reverting back to inhouse from CAPITA? Friend of mine in 'the north west' school is ditching them and i'm not surprised after seeing the mess with my own eyes. Had jobs on the help desk for 2 years, desktop load speeds in the minutes, un reliable MIS, the lsit goes on. As for Rochdale I remeber the pain of OpenHive training and its functionality compared to the VLE's already embeded in the schools. Not worked in the LEA for 2 years but still get regular text's to my mobile about lvel 2 and 3 area wide issues.

IMO it was hinting that because of all the deaths that Doctor had been involved with he would make a 'perfect' (my word for good) DALEK but that he also had the chance to be a 'merciful' (my word for good) DALEK. This series seems to be exploring the darker/evil side of the Doctor and that's what the 'missey' arc is about.
