I use Desktop Ticker as a RSS ticker. You could probably set it up to do what you want but it would be a bit of a faff. Works with W11.

Novocaine (Cinema) TRAILER NSFW (Swearing, violence) A mild mannered assistant bank manager falls in love with a beautiful lady who is kidnapped during a heist at the bank they both work at. He sets out to rescue her and luckily for him he doesn't feel pain at all. The trailer above (unlike the earlier one) doesn't give so much away and isn't as misleading with the dialogue. Was unsure whether to see this theatrically, but our local cinema had a "Mystery Movie" night Saturday and this is what it turned out to be. Glad I went as it was a lot of fun, even if it didn't make a whole lot of sense. If you like the trailer/s, well worth a look. Cinema was the fullest I’ve seen it in a while (normally go midweek though) - mainly couples in their 50s and 60s who I thought might not enjoy the movie, though everyone seemed to have a good time.

I think there was a D&D book and there was definitely a full tabletop RPG that seems to be commanding high prices these days as it's OOP.

Hmmm... Not sure I agree with you about the acting. The "whos" were the lady who stole the artifacts and the lady who seemed to be in charge of the group that turned up outside the chamber when it was all kicking off and attacked the Reds and the guys who were already there. Looking down the cast pics, possibly Nyomi and Galina.

Watched it last night and heartily agree! Got a few questions mainly for people who were paying closer attention to earlier seasons than Mme LeMarchand and me. Had we seen the short bad Red lady before? Ditto the lady with the lovely hair who turned up outside the chamber to help the Red lady with the cheekbones? When did Elayne change from being a well-meaning but flighty young girl to a strong woman? When did Egwene get a makeover? One from Mme LeMarchand: Will al'Lan now be taking his shirt off in every episode, or will he have to share that duty with Rand? Can the producers send Josha Stradowski on an acting boot camp? Most of the young cast were shaky in S1 but have improved greatly, apart from him.

Don't know that reference, but the starred out word features heavily. It's someone doing a voiceover with a mine worker trying to get an angry koala off site.

She tarnishes the good name of Sam Jones. Though that does remind me of this clip. NSFW but very funny: loud swearing (and with hardcoded subtitles). Don't know why the thumbnail isn't showing, but it's a koala on a mine site.

I didn't realise the Shannara books were still going! Maybe George R R Martin should take note. That way ASoIaF might actually get finished. Maybe one day I should try "Guards, Guards". I read the "The Colour of Magic" when it came out and didn't really get into it, so never bothered with any more. That said, I very rarely enjoy humorous fiction.

Looks cool but, as usual, over here it's London or the Northlands only. Tickets start a bit under £50.

Just finished Thunder City by Philip Reeve. Set some time after the events in the "Fever Crumb" trilogy and around 100 before the start of the "Mortal Engines" quartet, this sees Tamzin Pook, a slave/fighter in Brighton's Amusement Arcade, set free by Miss Lavinia Torpenhow, a teacher, who needs Tamzin's particular set of skills to free the town of Thornbury. They gather a motley crew that may just be able to save the town. A welcome return to the Traction Era for Philip Reeve, with his trademark poetic descriptions and offbeat humour. This one is obviously the potential start to a series; let's hope sales warrant sequels. So far, much better than "Fever Crumb". My only nitpick would be that I don't think the target audience would get some of the references, like the "Steptoe & Son" one.

I have a good idea who will be buying them...

The Gorge (Apple TV+) Two elite snipers are positioned either side of a gorge in an undisclosed location. They must stay there for a year and prevent anything that may try to reach the surface from doing so. They must have no contact with anyone, even each other, more than a monthly radio check in with their superiors. As one of the snipers is played by Anya Taylor Joy it's not long before that rule is broken, and then things start to unravel... One of the most enjoyable films I've seen for a while. Kudos to the trailer editors for not feeling that they have to show everything. Mme LeMarchand had to be cajoled into giving this a go and but both enjoyed it and stayed awake. It is one of those films that it's best not to question the setup too hard, but well worth checking if it's available to you. If you don't have access to Apple, I'd look around for a free deal and add this to your "Apple month long binge" list.

Not seen the newt but have seen the rest in our garden, hedgehogs very rarely and a sole badger once. Far more common than those last two and many of the others: slow worms, pigeons, earthworms and SLUGS!
