Finished this. Watching the recap before the finale made me realise that I must have dozed off in Ep 7! The finale was OK, but nothing special and a bit "We're low on budget". The post-climax wrap up was a bit downbeat, though true to previous events and character development. Shame the show didn't live up to its early potential and probably OK if you go in knowing this.

The "How to Train Your Drag0n" trilogy is down to it's historic low price of £7.99 on the Apple Store. HD only, though, for some reason. The base version of "Dying Light" for PS4 £3.19 on PSN.

Gladiator II (Cinema) The son of Maximus is captured and sent into the arena, where he is determined to use his growing fame to take revenge on the Roman general who destroyed his home city and whose men killed his wife. But things get a bit more complicated as the two learn the truth about each other. I didn't have particularly high hopes for this one but ended up thoroughly enjoying it. Like with his "Blade Runner", Ridley Scott serves up a film that feels shot on location in another time period - even in shots that you know must be CG. Yes it plays hard and fast with history, though some of it has some connection to what really happened, but the spectacle! A couple of nitpicks: The timescale seems off, with the film seemingly taking place over a few days, and the score is curiously muted though this may have been to highlight the effect when we get callbacks to "Now We Are Free". Not as good as the original, but worth a look.

Where is the media? Embedded in the PowerPoint, or online?

Finally finished this; pretty good but not essential. If interested but worried that it only lasted one season, the ending ties up the season well though does introduce a couple of potential new plot lines for the hoped-for second season.

He's also having a go at himself on the North-facing windows in the same courtyard as well. Hawk pictures only semi-successful: he still has a "fight" then notices the "hawk" and flies off!

Anyone just started getting problems with Bluetooth phone connection? Noticed yesterday that Dynamic Lock wasn't working at one site where the BT dongle keeps having to be unplugged/re-plugged. After un/reinstalling the driver, it wouldn't even see the phone, though the phone could see the PC. Same problem today at a different site. Unfortunately now that the devices won't talk to each other I can't test if it's just Dynamic Lock that is the problem.

Star Trek: Lower Decks Without getting too political, S05E02 must have had those who try to argue that The Federation isn't a Utopia frothing.

This Time Next Year (Netflix) Quinn and Minnie were born in the same hospital, on the same day, a minute apart. Quinn's life seems to have been charmed while Minnie's... hasn't. When they meet thirty years later their lives might just change. Sophie Cookson (Kingsman), Lucien Laviscount and Mandip Gill (Yaz from Doctor Who) star in this romcom. OKish; not one to steer any partner who might want to watch it with you away from, but not one to put on your watch list.

Watched Episode 6 of Paris Has Fallen last night. Unfortunately, after a strong start, it's got to the mid-season "ridiculous twists to stretch things out to make our episode order" stage. Sean Harris is absolutely amazing as the antagonist, though. I can't remember him being so stand out in the other stuff of his I've seen; maybe I should rewatch the Mission Impossibles with him in? Despite being set in Paris, the MI6 agent (Ritu Arya) does give them an excuse for most of the dialogue to be in English even though she speaks French, though there are some subtitles. E6 did contain some unintentional comedy gold when the French Chief was interrogating a French agent and it was obviously felt that it would be too much for people to read, leading to, "We must conduct this interrogation in English so that our MI6 partners can follow".
