We've got two chunky radiators so it's quite toasty actually. There are also some hot water pipers running through the office which add to the effect.

I'm looking at Azure pricing as well at the moment with a view to extending our DPM backups into the cloud. The pricing isn't very clear at all. I'm thinking of starting small with maybe our SIMS server and seeing how that works out cost wise as a gauge, with a view to adding more later if it is viable.

Just got a couple of these in a bundle with speakers to put into two ICT suites. Worked nicely but on the pricey side.

I should be wearing glasses. Got a prescription in April but haven't got round to sorting out a pair or two.

Can these be used with the wall-mounted mini amps above? They only appear to have stereo phono inputs/outputs. -
That's it, I'm buying some SSDs.

I have a simple spreadsheet that lists toners and quantities, and as it's updated generates a list to be ordered.

We're still rolling with a 2K3 print server so yeah, we've got a VB script adding printers based on OU.

As it happens just renewed our warranty for three years on some kit we bought from Server Source. It was slightly more than £900....

Cashless Catering - What do you use and opinions?
clockend25 replied to mrbios's topic in How do you do....it?
We've used Cunninghams for years with cash terminals, and set up Parent Pay about a year ago which now links with it. Can't say I have too much involvement with either beyond the initial setup as the day to day stuff is done by the canteen and finance. I would say that technical support from Cunninghams has been found wanting several times in the past though with regard to servicing/upgrading the canteen 'server' and till units. -
What projector brands do you use and like?

We moved to Casio LEDs about five years ago now, with the XJ-A1312 models. As has been mentioned on here they have some known issues however thankfully we haven't seen this affecting our fleet as much as others and as such they've been a big success. Last batch we bought were some of the eco model XJ-A132s and they've been flawless so far. The new Core interests me in terms of future purchases as well. -
If you're looking for bang for buck, have a look at Server Source. We grabbed a couple of Dell C6100s from them a few years ago which scored us 64 cores and 768gb of RAM in total for about £10k. I'm still on their mailing list so see the offers they have on the go each week, and they're somewhat tempting to say the least.

Our principal uses his own MacBook Pro. We've had a few staff assume he's been given it by us and come looking for one themselves, but he/us have firmly told them to do one.

Our prices directly reflect the costs in our lease agreement. As we don't actually bill faculties/departments it's basically just there to allow us to see what the next quarterly bill is going to be, so we don't factor in any additional costs.

Apparently they were only releasing people who could recite passages from the Koran.

Very little. Yet when I suggest that we shouldn't be using them anymore because they're running XP embedded people react as if the school would grind to halt without them. The only regular thing that goes up is weekly attendance figures for each house as it's a competition of sorts, and currently we also have some nice anxiety-inducing graphics reminding our Y11s that there are only 27 weeks until exams.

We administer SIMS accounts here, as above once HR have done their bit.

Can't wait for a new version. 5105 has been a complete PITA.

What's a budget?

Damn. Thanks for the heads up.
