  1. I had 4 or 5 private lessons but realised it wasn't working for me. Booked a weeks residential and it worked a treat. I recommend it. It's probably the equivalent of 20 (1 hour) driving lessons, but condensed, so you keep practising. What works for some won't necessarily work for others though.
  2. So....... back on track, who's up for making a Jilted John song from a few decades ago, the number one song this weekend?
  3. This has made my day. I realise why Spitting Image called it a day now. They realised that the politicians are lampooning themselves these days. I'd have an ounce of respect for Gordy if he hadn't apologised, and in fact stood by his opinion.
  4. Is that your main concern in life?
  5. I'm tempted to give a crack now to see how bad it will look.
  6. I'll wait for the VHS release.
  7. Cheers sweet cheeks. I raise my pint of ale to thee. :-)
  8. Does the Edugeek logo not change at all any more since the forum upgrade or is St George being picked on? I notice theregister are ignoring it today too. Edit: No, just spotted a flag on el reg. My mistake.
  9. And they've been using it up until Monday on SQL2000? I wasn't aware that was possible.
  10. Upgrade to 2005 from what? What platform have they been on until now? To be fair to Phil, he was being rather helpful by informing us now about the price increase.
  11. Top news item on the front of Capita Suportnet. Unless your LEA check it they might not know. We usually get emails from Capita about such things.
  12. Ooopsies, as my Girlfriends little one says.
  13. The country is already bankrupt. By all means feel free to send a cheque to BA, but I don't see why my taxes should fund it. Oh, we aren't a Euro country, yet we're still having to fund part of this bail out of Greece. I'll give it a couple of years and Germany will have pulled out of the Euro, which in turn, will destroy the currency and member states will end up using their own currencies again.
  14. UKIP are in bed with the RIAA. Read up on ACTA
  15. Are there any parties that pledge to tax BTLs? They'll get my vote.
  16. Mandelslime is a Lizard. Just ask David Icke. Hopefully he will be unemployed in a few months.
  17. No, they have an encrypted database, but as with all encryption, as soon as someone decrypts data and makes a copy, the data is no longer encrypted. The user should not be able to make a copy of the data in the first place.
  18. Until data protection is taken seriously by the folk at the top, this sort of thing will continue to happen. It's all good and well suspending the member of staff that took the data home, but there should be an Endpoint system in place that stops them from being able to do this in the first place.
  19. Rule #1: Take a backup beforehand. Can you elaborate slightly on what problems you have encountered?
  20. Is sounds like the wonderful lsas.blaster.keylogger fake AV. (or a varient of) As Mako suggested, try running msconfig as soon as it boots. Have a look for the following processes 1313928688.exe 1806188250.exe 692527612.exe Untick them, and go into a cmd prompt and type; taskkill /F /IM 1313928688.exe /IM 1806188250.exe /IM 692527612.exe You would also need to delete the following directories, that the exe files reside in. type the following into a cmd prompt. rmdir /s /q C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\1929146152 rmdir /s /q C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\1372029626 rmdir /s /q C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\870894309 I have a little batch file that does it all for you if you want? (Presuming that the teacher does indeed have lsas.blaster.keylogger. Other than that, a full scan from a bootable AV scanner. The sophos one works a treat.
  21. Aye, 'tis the sowing season so that cow dung is needed for my veg patch.
  22. Indeed. I fail to understand your usage of it in this thread though.
  23. Does your school budget work on the same philosophy?
  24. sssssh. Keep it quiet about the great beer they sell. Wouldn't want the snobs finding a reason to have to shop with us chavs would we? By the way, the wireless hub comes with a 3 year warranty.
  25. Don't think it would do that unfortunately. (Though I'm may test that tonight) May I recommend the Edimax Wireless-g 54Mbps Access Point for Circa £30 from all good stockists ( ) Works a treat instead of the 360 wireless adapter.
