[bug/error] Connection Problems From Australia?
Dos_Box replied to FN-GM's topic in EduGeek.net Site Problems
I can see it being VPN'd from the UK (not the same I know) but will let @ZeroHour know as see what he can find. Can you ping us? -

It appears the cargo couldn't be released from the main body - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-64218883

The image quality hasn't been the best. It's like it's been streamed from an early 2000's webcam.
-
Why can't they stream from inside the plane? It's very dull atm!
-
@MS2011 I'd forgotten all about The Dude - https://mikrotik.com/thedude If you want something that is simple to start off with this may be a good place to start. I used to use it years back but it was nice and simple to get to grips with back then.

Those tubs have many post-meal uses and I too use them for divvying up portions after doing some batch cooking prior to going in the freezer. When they get too used, they go in the recycling. I suspect that these will still remain as they can be recycled at home and I suspect the ones they are on about are the polystyrene ones that many take aways use. I also hope that they replace platic forks etc. with wooden ones as you do need them to eat from whatever packaging is being used if not at home. Festivals could get very messy affairs!

There is ESP (as has been mentioned) as well as Great Find, both of who regulary post job listings here. Try PM'ing @Will_Townsend or @Ravi_GreatFind for more information. I'll move this to the 'How do you do...IT? forum as the jobs forum is for listings only and ties in with Twitter and FB feeds, so will look weird!

Found this on here - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/overview/product-end-of-support-overview This was taken from the info on here - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/products/windows-10-enterprise-and-education - which states that Education versions are on the 'Modern' lifestyle policy. Sorry about that, but it does look like there will be no security updates past that. What that means in reality (current threats etc.) is anyones guess. I'm also wondering whether ther desktops might receive upgrade nag messages once the end of life date is reached too. Perhaps it might be better to schedule an upgrade this summer instead?
-
-
Yep, the full schedule will be published. As I said, hopefully later today once I finish some running around I can't get out of over lunch.
-
Well, it just so happens we have a webinar scheduled for later in the month all about this very topic. Hopefully we'll be publishing details of this (and others in the line-up) later today.

I really (really) enjoyed the first season and can't wait to watch the second. I know some Azimov purists found umbrage with it, and possiby righty so, but I thought it was very well done and had a great cast. Jared Harris is, as usual, superb and Lee Pace as Day is amazing. He also gets to deliver the most cruel and sinister monologue ever in the final episode. It should have won him awards!

Good job it's red as it goes with black.

Before my Mondeo was written off last summer I'd just had a pair of Debica tyres fitted to the front. The guy at the tyre places explained they are a Polish manufacturer and majority owned by Goodyear (they also make Debica tyres in their plants too) and have put a lot of R&D into the company since they came onboard in 2007. I was quite happy with them and they were certainly affordable.

@mikeprice, what kind of car do you have?
-
Yep, almost the Rolls Royce of mice back in the day and certainly a welcome addition to any others you might have had bundled with new PC's.

That sounds like a pitch for some kind of low budget sci-fi movie that ends up with well meaning scientists trapped in an underground lab fleeing from very unhappy mink and armed only with a case of chickpeas and a sack of lentils.

@TechMonkey, I think we're going to need another clue!

[video] 2022's Best Movie Pitch Meetings Compilation
Dos_Box posted a topic in Jokes/Interweb Things
An entire 1hr 6 mins of Pitch Meeting giggles: -
It looks like Netflix will be beginning its clampdown in the next few weeks - https://www.forbes.com/sites/kateoflahertyuk/2022/12/22/netflix-password-sharing-alert-new-crackdown-starts-in-2023/?sh=403696b77c41 I share mine with my kids (who live with their mum and have been warned off about this), but if they do cut them off, I think I'll just cancel the whole thing. Netflix has been getting a bit sparce in content I haven't seen in recent months anyway.
