@ZeroHour did let me know last night that there were lot's of bits that needed fettling when sorting out the HTTPS. I'll make sure he takes a look as soon as he can. He put in a lot of hours last night, so he might not be around for a couple of hours yet.

It was the same here that night. Went for a walk around the park (1.6 miles) and was dripping at the end of it!

A wise decision by the angler there! I'm always amazed just how strong modern fishing line is compared to the stuff I used as a Kid when I went fishing. The stuff that would snap if you caught even a small Roach!

Look what arrived today! I'll be getting that on the wall next to the framed Video Game stamps I got a couple of years back. A shame I missed the Iron Maiden ones!

It's 9am and already too warm! Whilst not as hot as earlier in the summer, the 10 degree jump we are to have today will be uncomfortable!

Just got back from walking my brothers dog at lunch and noticed this just near my front door. Not sure what it is, but thinking it's possibly spider egg related, but not like one I've ever seen before. -
I'm about half way though Silo on Apple TV+. More 'grown up' sci-fi, which I really enjoy, although I can't help shake the feeling it is similar to the teen dystopian sci-fi which was popular about a decade back. Think Hunger Games and Maze Runner etc. But for adults!

Happy birthday @ICTDirect_Dave, from all of us here at EduGeek, we hope you have a great day!

I asked my brother (who deals with this kind of thing professionally) and he has this advice: Hope this helps.

What's the oldest bit of kit you still have running?
Dos_Box replied to PrimaryTech's topic in General Chat
Behave! This is a job that we had lined up for the first week or so of the summer holidays. @ZeroHour however, has been very ill this past week or so and this has pushed it back. Once he is better, and out of bed, it will be carried out. Your logins are still carried out via HTTPS -
That's the one. Missed the Johnson reference, unless it's in a later episode.

Well, I'm enjoying it so far. Did anyone spot the discworld easter egg in Ep 3 yet?
-
Hmm, it's an older car, that's for sure. There is a lot of information here, including wiring diagrams - https://frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=72994&start=15 - which may be of some help. I have to say, at least more modern cars which have industry standards (and wireing harnesses) make life a lot simpler!

I know. This was supposed to have been done in the past week or so, but @ZeroHour has been very ill and bed bound recently. Nothing too serious (as far as he knows) but certainly enough to put him out of the frame. I shall keep you posted as to what is happening.

Indeed, Almost everyone I know uses Wilkos, and will recommend them (myself included). I can't see how an affordable 'hardware' store can go bad when all the ones around here are so busy. I probably use them several times a year at least.

We banned the account @Jaan reported.

That is a cheap train fare these days! And it's only 10 mins from the station -

There will be an evening event, and details of that will be published later -
Yeah, I've pretty much put myself into low power mode, which I hate! Thankfully I get large packs of Co-Codamol on prescription for my arthritis, but I don't usually take any unless it's really bad. They have been a godsend for this though, but do make me woozy at times. I am on the mend now though and feeling much better this past few days (After my girlfriend made me stop 'doing jobs'). I've been tempted to post up a pic of my knee after the incident but decided not to as it's lunchtime!

@ZeroHour is poorly atm. He'll get you an answer as soon as he can, but please give him some time to reply.

Yeah, bending down is a pain (no pun intended) and I've been meaning to buy one of those for some time!
