I've been through all my clients in WSUS to check their all up to date. I've got 1 (so far) that is showing different version (build) to the rest. Machines are in the same room, same hardware, same version of windows. The PC which is up to date is shown below with version, and CU installed. This installed the update ok and shows the updated build. Running windows update on the other pc, shows no updates available. If i run the cumulative update manually (same one) I get the error below - update is not applicable. despite showing older build. Any ideas why an update wouldnt be applicable? I've been through the whole WSUS and WU resets, but when try the update again, i still get the same message.

brill thank you currently i believe the upn is the same as their username @ domain.internal so I could change this upn to be the proper email domain. can the ms sync tool be run in simulate mode first to see what would happen before running properly before I decomission rm

So am i correct in the following: - 1st step - remove RM federation - once done, no users will be able to login using AD password - INstall MS AD Sync tool and run sync - Once sync completed, passwords will sync from AD to 365 and users will be able to login again. What will the tool use to match local users to existing 365 users, as in each AD users account their email address is not their UPN suffix and email address is not in AD either.

Yes, the AD password syncs to RM unify for 365 login.

ok so the users password will not actually be stored in office 365 as its being redirected to RM unify for authentication? So this means once rm is removed from federation all users would get new passwords? Marvellous if thats the case as how do i get the passwords to the users if rm has gone.! RM is so complicated so say the least with what i've found when decommissioning RM servers.

the RM unify sync tool does do passwords also - if i change a password in AD, the sync tools picks this up and changes the RM unify password and o365 password to the same as local so i'll be ok?

We have net2 on all our gates and doors too, we don't use it for clocking in/out purposes but you can pull off reports for 'who's been in today' and logs per user and a roll call list for fire alarm activations.

Are you running a proxy and does the program files folder have everyone with full control permissions?

Based on what it says in black and white says you need server 2019 DC for the GPOs - however if memory serves me right as as long as you've got 1 server 2019 DC it will be used for windows 10 1909 GPOs ok if others are still 2016? I'm just starting to create 1909 images but not yet updated GPO files.

So i have a school looking to remove RM unify. Once removed federation my understanding is that users can continue to login to office 365 to access mail , one drive etc. However once this is removed, this will then remove the RM unify sync tool from the local server. In place of this, I would install Microsoft AD azure sync tool and configure to connect to 365. However, before i make any changes, will the sync tool match up local usernames and remote username and not touch the existing records, or will it end up creating duplicates? Has anyone done this, as looking for a definite answer before making these global changes. thanks in advance.

I've got 2 HP Gen 10's running as Hyper-V hosts on server 2019 The VMs work fine performance wise, however when i start or restart a VM, Windows is quick to shutdown for example, but then it hangs on 'stopping' for several minutes before the machine starts up again. The whole windows side is fine, it seems to the hyper-v management of the machines which is stalling. In this state, i am unable to perform any actions on the VM under the 'actions menu'. Even if i create a brand new VM and start the machine it will come up as STARTING with a blank screen for several minutes. Not got the issue onServer 2016 as Hosts - as soon as a machine is powered on or perform a reboot of a VM its immediate.

Everyone on SIMS apart from daily supply. if they're here long term supply they go on sims so they can use 3rd party apps. they can be in SIMS as current staff but not affect the census

Please could you advise how you got the license transferred. I can access our Adobe site with downloads and key, but have to activate cs6 with an old email domain we no longer use, as they told me i cannot change this. Thanks.

I'm hopefully getting rid of RM unify - not cost effective. A lot of websites can now sign in with office 365 and we have one 3rd party product which will not let us sign in with office 365 because the authentication goes via RM and it won't pass the credentials through to the 3rd party site,.

Was the network issue where machines were dropping off the network, losing network access mid-use and hacing to reboot the machine to bring back online?? We had this issue with a specific motherboard but disabling task offload resolved that rather than buying new NICs, but again the machines are 7-8 years old.

We had an issue where students kept making suggestions on our school name and it got changed! apparently it's done on votes so if enough users submit the change Google changes it. Although we had registered as a business and got control of the account, we had to get google to monitor the account and put a block on any suggested changes. Since then, we've not had any smart kids!

I notice Re: inbox refresh issue that Microsoft's latest update says that emails will appear within 5 minutes, is this their permanent fix. Have users got to live with up to a 5 minute delay on emails?!

There are no newer drivers on the website for the machine.
