I have a B315s 4g router i want to add as a backup connect to the network remotely for management in case of lease line failure using SSL vpn port 443 I can connect from inside to out connected to the 4g router however an issue with the external to internal access. DYNDNS is setup, connected and updating the dns domain name with the correct WAN IP. Within the router settings I have unticked 'disable wan port ping' however i cannot ping the external IP from another device on 4g to check the connection. The routers default IP is 192.168.8.x and lan for example is 192.168.0.x so if i need to do a firewall rule from external to internal on i presume I need to change the IP to the 192.168.0.x range and which port on the 4g router should the cable be connected from the LAN to it? Only problem i've had with D-Link is firmware bugs i've found where Taiwan have remoted on, seen the problems and got new firmware to me within a matter of days (before public release). Can't wait their tech support.

Every school i've seen Netgears in have had this issue or have stripped them out for several reasons. Sites now have HP or D-link and everything comes back on even if just a glitch.

Switched to censornet several years ago and been 100% reliable. cloud based web filtering with 2 x VM's on site for authentication load balanced/redundancy. No need for an appliance between LAN and WAN so direct connection if all else fails.

I'm in the process to testing/applying GPO templates for Edge Chromium before rolling out to all. However, unable to find the following settings, if anyone can help? 1. with IE, i have a redirection policy in place where favourites are stored in the users home directory so that if a profile is reset, favourites are always there. I have downloaded the latest ADMX templates and enabled 'allow importing of favourites' however i see the favourites in IE but not edge? How do i get edge chromium to sync with IE and use the favourites stored in the custom location. 2. Where can i control which 'settings' users can access? 2. Which option disables the user being able to create 'profiles' Thanks

The biggest issue I find is that with cloud backups, you can create a different username/password for backup agents, but they still need local administrator access to the machines, so even if it's not the domain admin credentials, it's still going to be an admin user on the server .

I thought 2FA was available - I had an account setup to trial and managed to configure 2fa yubikey authentication on it. I read a few posts on here where people have had cloud backups and not been able to use them when they get attacked with ransomware...

Even the most secure network can be targeted , you can only put in preventative measures or mitigate attacks to prevent from ransomware and other attacks. I've seen quite a few posts where schools/organisations have cloud backups that have also been infected/targeted and yet that is meant to be secure, reliable and there for when it's needed.

Is anyone using Acronis Cloud backup? If so, how long have you been using it, have you had any issues, ransomware attacks etc where data was non-retrievable? Do you have any security concerns over it..i.e over-engineered i.e ability to pass through a remote desktop connection from the acronis cloud platform to the local server? Thanks in advance.

Only issue i had was with filtering, had to whitelist the zoom urls but nothing required on external firewall

Followed same article but when run Test-OAuthConnectivity -Service EWS -TargetUri https://outlook.office365.com/ews/exchange.asmx -Mailbox [email protected] -Verbose | Format-List it comes back as FAILED (even when i replace with a valid email address) Some authentication failed error message. Once OAuth is configured should it pull calendar from exchange users calendar?

It appears that when I followed the guide as soon as i enabled the hybrid option in AD azure sync tool the user did change to This user's on-premises mailbox hasn't been migrated to ‎Exchange Online‎. The ‎Exchange Online‎ mailbox will be available after migration is completed under the 'mail tab' I attempted the oauth powershell but the test still came back failed, so might just leave it. Tested with a user and they can now see calendar and schedule meetings.

I thought that an EOL license wasn't required otherwise it kind defeats the purpose....users will login to 'mail' and send emails, but any incoming emails will go back to local exchange server. trying to prevent them using exchange online (365)

I have read several articles online... I am on exchange 2016 CU 8 so should be ok. Just wondered what the next steps would be. Once I've enabled hybrid from Exchange, will i also need to amend the Azure AD Sync tool to include hybrid settings?

Hi, I currently have Exchange 2016 local install and starting to use teams. Users do not have the 'calendar' icon resulting in unable to schedule meetings or meet now. I believe this has something to do with oAuth. Has anyone else with Local exchange only set this up and able to assist with what steps they took, without setting up a hybrid configuration? I am using the MS sync tool to sync users from AD to 365. Thanks.

It's the manual part I want to get rid off as is at a remote site, not my primary site. If switch 1 fails the whole network will still run. I have everything redundant apart from the WAN connection so i can lose a switch and not have to attend site immediate, plus the WAN is used for site-site communication. Yes, unfortunately the router only have 1 Port, but a built in 4 port switch Cisco C1111 , so I might drop the provider an email see if they'll let me use them, so i can have redundant connections.

Looking for some suggestions if possible: Our core switch is built up of 4 x switches in a ring stack topology, forming as 1 switch. Our router is connected from the LAN port into switch 1 port. All servers have teamed connections across the stack for redundancy in case of switch failure. Ideally I'd like to have the router connected to 2 ports 1 in switch 1 and 1 in switch 2 for redundancy. The only way I can see to do this, would be to add another point of failure by adding a switch in between so: Router Lan Port > New Switch single Port > LACP 2 ports on new switch > connect 1 to switch 1 port, connect 1 to switch 2 port So if switch 1 fails, i still have a wan connection, if switch 2 fails, i still have a wan connection Any other ways to manage this for redundancy, without having to add another switch as a point of failure.

I block desktop.ini otherwise folders show as my documents, and i don't really want to have to have one folder, then another folder inside . How are your folder structures when desktop.ini isn't blocked so it always shows the user name?
